Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Balanced Training
Equipment:
- ✓ E-Collars
- ✓ Obstacle Courses
Coyote Creek Retrievers offers training from beginning obedience to advanced retriever skills. Their approach starts with understanding the client’s goals to establish a shared vision for the dog’s training. Obedience training focuses on developing a simple, productive common language between dog and owner, forming the foundation for all future work and ensuring a reliable everyday companion.
Gun dog training is a process rooted in basic obedience, with additional skills added over many months to fulfill the sporting dog’s natural instinct to retrieve and please. The program emphasizes understanding each dog’s unique personality and adjusting training to meet them at their current development level. They have successfully trained dogs that other trainers have “failed.”
Boarding services include daily one-on-one training tailored to the dog’s skill level. For sporting breeds, this involves fieldwork, water work, and obedience training. For other breeds, the one-on-one time is customized to appropriate activities. Clients are encouraged to be involved in their dog’s training journey through recurring visits to ensure skills are transferable to the home environment.
