Cranium Dog Training offers several programs tailored to different needs. The “Raise Them Right Program” is for puppies under 6 months, focusing on handling, socialization, foundation skills, and survival tips. The “Lifelong Learner Program” is for adult dogs without reactivity, addressing goals like recall around distractions, loose leash walking, and making outings more enjoyable.
The “Problem Solver Program” is designed for dogs with behavioral issues, conducted in-home to create a training plan covering routines, manners, and setting the family up for success, especially for reactivity. The “Virtual Pup Program” provides virtual or phone support, instructional videos, and video critiques for those with financial restrictions or outside the service range.
Day Training involves two 2-hour sessions per week with the trainer and the dog. Lesson frequency varies: weekly for puppies, bi-weekly for long-term behavioral goals like fear or separation anxiety, and multiple times a week for acute issues like reactivity.

About the Trainer
Cranium Dog Training, founded in 2020 by certified dog trainer Tabitha Crane, offers thoughtful one-on-one training in the Phoenix area. Tabitha helps bridge the language gap between humans and their canine companions, aiming to resolve behavioral breakdowns by fulfilling unmet canine needs and providing guidance.
The training uses a holistic approach, considering relationship, environment, health, and behavior, combined with tried and true methods to achieve well-behaved dogs that can handle the real world. The business focuses on positive and dog-directed training, emphasizing communication skills over unquestioning obedience and respecting what makes dogs, dogs.
They also incorporate management strategies and education to help pet parents set up dog-friendly homes and minimize problems. Tabitha has a soft spot for shy dogs and also enjoys helping dogs with reactivity or “selective hearing.” The ultimate goal is to help dogs and their humans live peacefully.
Accomplishments
Tabitha Crane, the founder, became a certified dog trainer in 2020 after completing the curriculum and mentorship with the Animal Behavior College. She passed the assessment for certification with the Council of Professional Dog Trainers in 2023 and has been a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers since 2016. Tabitha is also qualified to assess dogs and handlers for Canine Good Citizen (CGC) titles and trick dog titles.
