Dog Training Methodology
Methods:
- ✓ Positive Reinforcement Only
Creekside Canine Training Center offers individualized, breed-specific, and science-based dog training using a reward-based scientific approach. Programs include Puppy Preschool, Day Training, Beginner Obedience, Formal Obedience (for AKC Rally/Obedience trials), and Board & Training services (available September to April).
The Puppy Preschool is a 4-week, 2-day per week daycare and training program focusing on crate training, potty training, place training, and intro to loose leash walking. The Day Training Program is an ongoing program where dogs stay from 8 AM to 5 PM to learn basic obedience commands and behaviors, which can be combined with Creek Dog Daycare. They also offer a “Mind Your Table Manners Class” as a 5-week course designed for dogs to be comfortable in dog-friendly outdoor dining patios. Additionally, specialized Therapy Dog training is provided, preparing dogs for AKC Canine Good Citizen and TDI Therapy Dog Exams.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
Training class prices include $180 for a 5-week “Mind Your Table Manners” course, $680 for the 4-week “Puppy Preschool Program” ($170 weekly), and $85 per day for “Day Training Program” (up to 2 days per week, $170 weekly). Pricing for other training programs is available upon application.
Grooming services vary by dog size and time. Full Grooms range from $65 (small dogs 70lbs). Basic Baths range from $45 (small dogs 100lbs). Add-on services like deshedding, de-skunking, sanitary clips, ear cleaning, tidy up trims, and nail trims are also available. Boarding fees are not explicitly listed but categories for single and multi-dog kennels are mentioned, with an added $10 fee for group playtime.
Policies
Creekside Canine requires all dogs staying at their facility to have current vaccinations, including Bordetella (Kennel Cough), with proof presented at check-in. Puppies for training must be 12 weeks old with their first two rounds of shots, including kennel cough, 5-in-1 (DHLPP), and rabies once over six months old.
The business reserves the right to refuse service to any dog, and aggressive dogs are reviewed, accepted or refused, and priced on a case-by-case basis due to requiring more care. Late fees apply if dogs are not picked up at the discussed checkout time. Services and fees are subject to change. For spa appointments, dogs are kept in appropriate sized wired crates, not the kennel area, and owners are expected to pick up their pups in a timely manner. Dogs over 7 months old must pass a behavior evaluation to participate in group playtime.
Testimonials
“This place is amazing! My Husky has been training there for a while and I’m so impressed with the facilities. The kennels are ridiculously clean and the dogs who stay there are spoiled. Amazing!”
– Mary Morris, boarding and training client.
“I have used their boarding facilities twice this year. The facilities were incredibly clean. Each kennel had an individual run, and the kennel was air conditioned. There are also play yards for the dogs to exercise. i was told I could check on my girls at any time, and I received texts a couple of times without even asking when I was gone for several days. I was very pleased with the care my dogs received.”
– Lois Renfro, Boarding client.
