The Perfect Puppy Program builds a foundation in obedience, potty/crate training, and socialization without force. The Indifferent Dog Reactive Dog Program addresses barrier and human reactivity through consistency and environmental management. The Last Stop Aggressive Dog Program is for dogs with multiple bites or severe aggression, using in-depth behavior analysis and modification without masking symptoms. All programs require active owner involvement, including weekly visits and in-home follow-ups. Training begins in low-distraction environments and progresses to real-world settings at the dog’s pace.

Testimonials
When we had some behavior issues with our two male dogs becoming aggressive towards each other, we sought advice from friends who both train and handle dozens of dogs for high net worth families. They recommended we consult with Chris at Critical Canine and we are extremely happy we did. He immediately came out to the house to meet our dogs and see what advice he could offer. After seeing how gentle he was in meeting the dogs and how well they responded to him, we opted to have Chris train both dogs at his location for 4 weeks. He encouraged us to make regular visits and be part of the learning and development, which we did. Following his time with our dogs, he continued to make regular visits to our house to help answer our ongoing questions and ensure we continued to reinforce what they had learned. In a relatively short time, Chris made a very positive and lasting connection with both our dogs that is evident by how excited they are to see him during his follow up visits.
If you are considering putting your dog through training or have found yourself in need of advise when it comes to your dogs behavior, we cannot recommend Chris enough. It was so clear to us from our experience that he genuinely cares about each of the dogs he works with, earns their trust and takes the time to build lasting habits through positive reinforcement. Chris’ years of experience and love of dogs were incredibly important in our decision to work with him. We’re very happy with our choice and would highly recommend to anyone.
My family and I have been extremely pleased with Critical Canine. They trained our Great Dane and Irish Terrier at the same time. They were very knowledgeable, caring, and responsive. They were able to put us at ease and give multiple updates during the training process. We were also able to visit during training and especially appreciated the at home visits with Chris once they were back home. Critical Canine will also board dogs that they have trained, which gives us piece of mind when we are away. We will definitely use them again.
We have had such an amazing experience with Critical Canine. My husband and I fostered a catahoula mix (Cooper), and while we loved our boy, we struggled with some of his stubborn behaviors with walking on a leash, obedience, reactivity, and settling down in his new home. When we started calling around to interview trainers, we knew right away that Critical Canine was the right fit because they really took the time to answer questions and get to know our needs. Chris and Jonathan did an amazing job and really made us feel comfortable throughout the training and boarding process. We always felt comfortable asking questions and were consistently and openly communicated with on changes and expectations to set with Cooper for positive behavior changes. Chris even came to our home to work with us and they were more than happy to share knowledge about grooming and other questions that pop up in our dog ownership journey. Cooper is such a happier and more well-adjusted dog since working with them and we feel so much more confident about how to meet his needs and keep up his training at home. We are so grateful to the Critical Canine team!
