Behavior Evaluation: This package includes a one to two-hour meeting to discuss concerns, followed by an analysis of client-provided videos, and a written report of findings.
6 Session of Puppy Basics: This package offers six 45-minute one-on-one private lessons for puppies aged 10 to 24 weeks, designed to start them on the right track. Training can be conducted at the client’s home or a designated training area.
Basic Obedience Lessons: This package provides eight weeks of private training for dogs over 6 months of age, covering fundamental commands such as sit, down, stay, place, loose leash walking, and recall, with an introduction to the heel command. Clients can also discuss behavioral struggles experienced at home or during walks. Training can be in-home or at a designated training area.
Intermediate Lessons: This is an 8-week private class that builds upon puppy basics or basic obedience training. It heavily focuses on developing a strong recall and refining heeling skills, ensuring all basic commands are fluent. The place command is taught to help manage the dog’s location within the home. These lessons are primarily conducted in the client’s home, and proof of prior beginner training is required if it was not completed with Dakota Kennels & Training.
All other Behavioral Needs: Clients can purchase a block of specialized lessons at a discount for behavioral problems not covered by the other programs. The content and pricing are customized on a case-by-case basis.
Board to Train: This is a three-week board and train program covering commands such as focus, sit, down, place, loose leash walking, leave it, give, wait, and come when called. Discussions on off-leash control and heeling are also available, and the program can be customized to meet specific training goals.
