“Diamond Canine has been a complete game-changer for my husband Jason and I and our German Shepherd puppy, Bear. Before training, he was tough to manage–lots of jumping and mouthing, and we had scratches that worried people. Erin and Joe spent extra time during the initial assessment to walk us through their approach, set clear expectations, and answer every question. We were anxious about boarding for the first time, but Erin kept us updated with photos and videos of Bear’s progress and interactions with other dogs, which gave us total peace of mind. They were incredibly flexible with boarding, too.

The results have been outstanding. Bear came home calm, responsive, and well-mannered–no more jumping or nibbling, and his obedience is reliable even with distractions. Joe met our extended family at our home to coach us on exactly what to do when visitors arrive, reinforcing everything Bear learned. He was patient and thorough with us, not just with the dog. Our 3-year-old granddaughter was initially scared because of her first experience with Bear back in July, but after his training she was completely at ease. On a recent visit, she wanted to spend time with Bear and even practiced “spot” and “heel” with him–a total turnaround.

When we had a major surgery, Joe and Erin were happy to board Bear for as long as we needed, and we’re very grateful for that support. We also joined a few Diamond Canine get-togethers and were amazed at the consistent, outstanding behavior of all the dogs in attendance, including Bear.

“We’ve been rescuing American Bullies for nearly two decades, and every one of them has come with a story–and scars to match. Our current pups, Mowse (7) and Jasper (3), have had more than their fair share of trauma. Mowse was starving when we got her at just 13 weeks.
