District Dogs Training offers a diverse array of programs tailored to different needs and stages of a dog’s life. Group Training Classes and Puppy School focus on building good behaviors in a social environment. Puppy Socials are for puppies 12-18 weeks old, emphasizing safe interaction and social skills. Puppy Pre-K, for puppies 2-4 months, introduces basic obedience, socialization, confidence building, and crate exercises. Puppy Basics (Level 1) and Adult Basics (Level 1) are six-week courses establishing foundational skills, manners, and confidence for puppies under five months and dogs six months and older, respectively. Intermediate (Level 2) builds upon these skills for city success and is a prerequisite for the Canine Good Citizen course. Advanced & Canine Good Citizen (Level 3) prepares dogs for the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
Specialty Classes and Workshops address specific behavioral challenges and advanced skills. These include the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test (a la carte), Agility Basics, Intermediate, and Advanced classes for canine agility work, and Confidence Building for timid dogs. Workshops cover common issues like Nipping/Mouthing, jumping (Dump the Jump), Recall (Come When Called), and Crate Training (Loving Your Crate).
Private Training offers customized, one-on-one behavior solutions that can take place in the client’s home, a park, or at a District Dogs facility. These sessions are tailored to the dog’s individual needs and specific behavior concerns.
For more intensive training, Board & Train programs allow dogs to stay at the facility in private suites, receiving daily training sessions (Level One: 5 nights, 7 sessions; Level Two: 12 nights, 14 sessions). Doggy Day Training Camp provides similar intensive training during daycare hours without overnight boarding (Level One: 5 days, 7 sessions; Level Two: 12 days, 14 sessions). Additionally, Play & Train offers 30-minute private training sessions as an add-on to any daycare visit.

How to Get Started!
For private training, all new clients are required to begin with an initial consultation and training session. This session allows the trainers to assess the dog’s behaviors and discuss expectations for the dog, owners, and trainer. For group training classes, the first session is human-only, where the trainer reviews the basic goals and expectations for the class before the dogs join for the subsequent sessions.
