Kopek Agility offers a diverse range of training programs designed for various dog ages and skill levels. Agility classes are available at both basic foundation and competition levels, focusing on hand and foot commands, running skills, and maneuvering through obstacles. These are offered as private sessions.
The Canine Good Citizen class is a group program that combines puppy training, obedience, and trick techniques to foster confident and well-mannered behavior, addressing issues like distractions, loose leash walking, and polite greetings. Nosework classes, led by trainer Karen Kay, teach dogs to find hidden scents in various environments, promoting mental stimulation and confidence. These are offered in beginner, intermediate, and advanced group classes.
Obedience classes, taught by Emily Mangiaratti, focus on commands like sit, stand, wait, come, and heel, along with loose leash walking, incorporating games and tricks to make learning enjoyable. Puppy classes are offered as private sessions, emphasizing brainwork, tricks, and agility exercises for future dog sports, as well as group socialization classes. Additional offerings include “Trick and Treat,” “Senior Dogs” (for keeping older dogs active), “Yoga with Dogs,” “Agility Workout,” and “AKC FETCH CLASS.” Most classes run for 4 to 6 weeks, with some providing drop-in options. The name “Kopek” means “dog” and reflects the owner’s deep love for dogs, stemming from her grandparents’ home. The facility aims to provide a space where dogs can engage in brainwork activities suitable for their age, body, and character, recognizing the importance of purpose in a dog’s daily life.
