Dog Gone Good offers a range of training programs designed to meet various needs. Private Lessons provide one-on-one sessions with a certified instructor, available either in the client’s home or at the Dog Gone Good facility. These personalized sessions cover behaviors such as leash walking, relaxation around family and friends, eliminating begging, and establishing rules and routines both indoors and outdoors.

Group Classes include Puppy Class for puppies 8-16 weeks old, focusing on understanding puppy needs, effective communication, foundation skills, and preventing unwanted behaviors like potty training issues, chewing, and play-biting. Basic Obedience is for dogs five months and up, teaching commands like sit, down, come when called, go to place, heel, loose leash walking, and stay, while also addressing common problem behaviors such as jumping up and nipping.

Specialized group classes include Rally, which is a sport where dog and handler teams navigate a course of exercise skill stations, with options for Intro to WCRL and AKC Rally levels (Novice/Intermediate, Advanced, Excellent/Master). Remote Collar Training educates owners on the safe and humane use of e-collars for improved control and off-leash freedom.

Agility programs start with Agility Basics, a foundations class teaching hind-end awareness, foot placement, and bond building. Agility 1 focuses on navigating obstacles like jumps, hoops, tunnels, A-frames, dog walks, and teeters. Agility 2 emphasizes handler body language and teamwork for running sequences, while Agility 3 offers challenging sequences for those interested in competing in venues like AKC, UKC, and NADAC.

Conformation is a 5-week program covering equipment, leash handling, warm-ups, targeting front and rear feet, ring procedures (Down & Back, Go Around, Triangle), class/entry procedures, stand stay, showing the bite, judging programs, conditioning exercises, hand stacking, free stacking, and culminates in a “Simulation” Dog Show. “Just for FUN” classes include Canine Conditioning for physical and mental fitness, Nose Work (Scent Work) with levels from Introduction to Odor (Birch) to Introduction to Elements (Birch, Anise, Clove, Cypress) and advanced challenges, and Trick Training for fun behaviors like cross paws, high five, roll over, and say prayers.
