Sally Said So offers a range of customizable training programs designed to meet diverse needs. All personalized training programs begin with a Comprehensive Consultation, a two-hour in-home meeting where an expert trainer evaluates the dog’s behavior and environment, discusses goals, and demonstrates basic obedience skills. This session helps determine the most suitable training path.

The Trainer on Retainer is their premier, commitment-based program, providing lifetime support. It includes private in-home sessions tailored to any breed, age, or temperament, addressing issues from puppy training to behavior modification for aggression and anxiety. Clients also receive a companion training app with video content, exclusive access to a Loyalty Program, a clients-only Facebook Group, unlimited lifetime group classes, and refresher training sessions.

The Priority Training program is a “behavior tune-up” for dogs with smaller behavioral goals or those needing to refine existing commands. It includes a consultation, one two-hour private in-home session, and 12 months of unlimited group classes, plus one additional “use-as-you-choose” private session. This program is not recommended for dogs with anxiety or aggressive behaviors.

Group Dog Training classes are available to clients enrolled in the Trainer on Retainer or Priority Training programs. These classes help dogs build essential skills and focus in social environments, covering foundational commands, leash manners, focus, impulse control, and socialization. There are three styles: Civil Citizens (preparing for AKC Canine Good Citizen test), Calm Canines (for reactive or overexcited dogs in a structured setting), and Fun Class (trick training, obstacle courses, advanced obedience skills for AKC Community Canine and Urban CGC titles).

Additional specialized services include Pre-Purchase and Adoption Consultations, which guide prospective owners in selecting the right dog and preparing their home. The Expecting Parents Program helps prepare dogs for the arrival of a new baby through desensitization and specific obedience training. They also offer specialized Therapy Dog Training to meet certification requirements, Service Dog Training for specific tasks, and Feline Training for cat behavior issues like aggression, marking, and scratching.

Testimonials

“Shane, new client here in the Charlotte area. I recently adopted a rescue from a refuge in the Bahamas that we have supported for years that unfortunately has to close their doors. She was hit by a car there and left to suffer on the streets for days. No telling what she went through before that. I’ve been blessed to “own” over 15 dogs the past 20+ years, and have been fortunate to have Miller Animal Hospital by my side the whole way. All have been rescues or strays (or given away in the front of Walmart). I’ve never had one almost completely shut down and wishing to “blend into the wall” as your crew has most accurately described her. I brought sweet Deejie home, hoping she’d magically transition with my other 2 dogs, and it didn’t quite happen the way I envisioned. As anxiety quickly took over for me too, I contacted Dr. Miller in a panic and they referred me to you. I am so very thankful that sweet Ann answered my call that evening and proceeded to calm me and counter all of the advice I had gotten (and knew was wrong) from “have a water bottle ready” or “coke can with coins inside”, to an “air gun easily purchased on Amazon”, and most commonly “put the dogs together and let them figure who’s the boss”. Ann calmed my fears, walked me through a reset with Deejie until help could arrive, and recommended Natalie Dukes, who has come to our home now three times. Natalie is not just a trainer, but I would argue possibly a therapist for owners. How fortunate you are to have these women on your team! Natalie imparts SO much knowledge and in such a tactful and genuine way. She is the perfect person for us. Keep doing what you’re doing. May God bless you and yours. Kudos, and thank you from Deejie, Otis, Flaco, and the Maury family.”

“I have known and worked with this organization for years. I recommend them to anyone that gets a new dog or wants to learn how to better their relationship and communication skills with a current dog. I recently had the pleasure of starting to work with Taylor on a new dog that will be doing some service work for me. She asked some really good questions and gave very clear instruction. She asked about my learning style and adapted her teaching my learning. Sally Said So has given me a lot of confidence in being able to use a dog. It will still take me a bit to get completely comfortable with the idea of using a service animal but I can see the benefits much better with the input from Taylor and other staff. Once again so many questions answered and we are excited to embark on our new training!”

“Hannah from Sally Said So really saved us at a time when we were at the end of our rope with our rescue pup. Hannah helped us with muzzle training, recall, leash walking, and really helped us understand why our dog was reacting the way he was. We’ve been working with Hannah for about a year and we have made huge progress. We are now attending group classes and we no longer dread going on walks with our dog. Hannah was fantastic to work with. We highly recommend Hannah and Sally Said So.”
