The LIV30 program is their flagship intensive training model designed to achieve livability—where dogs are calm, obedient, and integrated into family life—in 30 days or less. Programs include either Board and Train (dog stays with trainers for 2–4 weeks) or Private Lessons (in-person sessions at the facility or home). Each program begins with a consultation to assess the dog’s behavior and family goals. Board and Train includes daily training, socialization outings, and a home orientation upon return. Private Lessons include personalized coaching for owners to reinforce commands and maintain progress. Monthly group socials are offered for continued practice and community support.

Testimonials
“Your program really is awesome. We were amazed at the difference in her after one week. She goes to her crate without freaking out, she is more calm and isn’t constantly nipping at us.”
-Teresa Dillard
“I was very skeptical that anyone could train a dog in just over a week. Our puppy was rambunctious… She is respectful, listens, is corrected easily, is affectionate to our children…no more jumping, eating their toys or bothering anyone or anything. Dare I say, she is the perfect dog.”
-Jenny Delgadillo
“Our dog Tilly is still energetic, happy, fun curious and excited! But now she behaves with her sister, in the house, on walks, everywhere. And she listens now!!!!! This training has made raising an energetic puppy ‘easy’ compared to the first 19 weeks!!!”
-Rob Redfield
About the Trainer
Dog Psychology and Training Center is a family-owned dog training business based in Greenville, SC, founded in 2008 by Krystal and Eric Nierman. They specialize in transforming dogs with behavioral issues—such as jumping, leash pulling, separation anxiety, reactivity, and nipping—into calm, well-mannered family members through customized training programs. Their signature LIV30 program promises noticeable improvement in 30 days or less by addressing the root causes of behavior, not just symptoms. They offer Board and Train and Private Lessons, with a focus on building strong human-dog relationships through understanding the dog’s unique personality and love language. They also provide follow-up orientations and monthly socials to reinforce training. The team works with rescues and shelters and emphasizes empathy, consistency, and communication. Their approach is rooted in real-life experiences, including overcoming their own dog Korben’s unpredictable aggression, which inspired their mission to help families avoid the stress of unmanageable pets.
They are not a typical group class provider; instead, they tailor training to each dog’s needs and ensure owners are equipped to maintain progress at home. Their trainers have extensive experience across multiple breeds and behavior challenges, and they use a balanced method combining positive reinforcement with corrections when necessary.
They also offer coaching for owners to build confidence and consistency, ensuring long-term success beyond the training period.
Accomplishments
Krystal Nierman is a Certified Dog Trainer (IACP-CDT), Certified S.T.A.R. Puppy and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and has spoken at local dog events on canine behavior. She chairs the SC Human Trafficking Task Force Prevention Subcommittee and leads prevention education for youth. Eric Nierman is a Professional Member of IACP and has trained under top dog trainers across North America and Canada. Both have over 15 years of hands-on experience working with rescues, shelters, and challenging behavior cases, including their own dog Korben’s emotional disorder.
