Dog Quest offers dog agility classes across multiple levels: Beginner, Pre-Novice, Novice, Open, Excellent, and Masters. Beginner classes include “Introduction to Dog Agility” focusing on foundations, jumps, and tunnels, and “Foundation for Competition” which introduces competition rules and more challenging obstacles like weaves and contacts, requiring three consecutive sessions. Higher levels are designed for dogs with increasing levels of agility training and competition experience, aligning with AKC, USDAA, and CPE standards.

Beginner classes cost $225 prepaid for one session, which includes 5 weekly 1-hour classes. There are no refunds or make-up classes, except for adjustments due to weather conditions or other reasons causing the whole class to skip a week.

About the Trainer
Dog Quest is a dog agility training business owned and operated by Anne Platt since 2001, located in Escondido, California, in North San Diego County. They offer a range of agility classes from beginner to master levels, taught at a dedicated facility. Their primary goal is to prepare students for agility competitions, though participation in competitions is not mandatory.
The facility boasts a large Masters ring (21,850 sq ft) and a smaller, fenced Beginner ring (3,600 sq ft) with a sand surface, both equipped with shade tents and ample parking. Anne Platt, a well-known national-level competitor, leads the training, bringing extensive experience and a long list of accomplishments. New instructors have also joined to teach beginning agility classes.
Accomplishments
Anne Platt, the owner and primary instructor, is a highly accomplished national-level competitor. She has competed at the AKC Nationals every year from 1997-2016 and 2018-2019 and 2021-2024, and at the USDAA Nationals every year from 1998-2023. Anne has participated in the Grand Prix Finals 10 times, achieving high placements. She has earned a total of 41 AKC Master Agility Champion (MACH) titles while handling 9 different dogs of 5 different breeds, and has achieved the USDAA Agility Dog Championship (ADCH) title on 7 dogs.
How to Get Started!
Prospective students interested in Beginner Classes are encouraged to fill out a Beginner Form to be added to a waitlist. Dog Quest will then contact them when a class is available, provided their dog is at least 10 months old.
