Dog Sports at Kim’s is a community of individuals who enjoy coming together to train their dogs. They offer classes in Obedience, Agility, Rally, and puppy training. Classes are tailored for a minimum of stand-around-and-wait time, ensuring each dog-handler team gets targeted, individualized instruction.

They offer intro-level courses like Puppy Foundations/Beginning Obedience, Beginning Agility, Novice Obedience, Novice/Intermediate Rally, and Intro to Odor Scent Work. Specialized classes include Canine Good Citizen, Canine Tricks, Canine Confidence, and Agility Foundation. Private agility lessons are also available.

Dog Sports at Kim’s (DSK) is a community of individuals who enjoy coming together to train their dogs. DSK provides a rich, energetic program designed for both dogs and handlers.

Kim Berkley, the lead trainer, has extensive experience and keeps class sizes small to ensure individualized instruction. DSK classes are tailored to minimize wait time. The facility is a huge state-of-the-art training complex with over 20,000 square feet of indoor, climate-controlled agility and obedience rings, including a regulation-size indoor agility ring. They also have a fully equipped outdoor ring, professional-grade equipment, and high-grade rubber matting.

DSK also offers dog grooming services, including nail trims, provided by Morgan Kramer. They are home to the Mound City Obedience Training Club and serve as a practice facility for the Greater St. Louis Agility Club. DSK aims to help every dog be a champion and a well-behaved family member, fostering a community where people love to train their dogs.

Accomplishments

Kim Berkley, the lead trainer, has trained many dogs, including her own, to competitive championships. She has put OTCH titles on eight dogs and 20 MACH titles on ten different dogs, and five PACHs on four dogs since 2006. Kim has trained the three youngest CH-OTCH-MACH dogs in AKC history. She has achieved numerous top finishes at national competitions, including the AKC National Obedience Championship and Classic.

Nancy Curtis is a winner of the AKC Rally National Championship with her dog Stryker and achieved High in Trial and High Combined at the 2019 Border Collie Nationals. Patty Schneiderjohn and her dog Oshie won Utility and Open B obedience classes, High Triple Q in rally, and the versatility competition at the 2020 German Shepherd Dog Nationals. Joanne Bockhorn’s dog Vega earned his OTCH and MACH2, Master Hunter title, and has been invited to Westminster Master Obedience competitions.
