About the Trainer
The Dog Training Club of St. Petersburg (DTCSP) is an all-volunteer organization that has been serving dogs and their people in the Tampa Bay area since 1955, actively training dogs for over 60 years. Their primary purpose is to share knowledge and experience to help the community train their dogs.
They offer a wide range of classes open to the public, including all levels of obedience (from Puppy through Utility), Agility, Rally, Flyball, Nose Work, Tricks, and Conditioning. All classes are taught using positive methods.
DTCSP is more than just a training facility; it is an extremely active club. They host multiple agility, obedience, and scent work trials every year, along with flyball tournaments, seminars, and workshops on various topics. The club also performs demonstrations at community events, supports local rescue organizations, and sends multiple teams to state agility and obedience competitions.
