Shane, the founder of Saber Working Dogs, has over 25 years of experience training police and personal protection dogs, beginning in 1996 with law enforcement K9 work. He has trained and partnered with multiple imported police service dogs, including German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and Labrador Retrievers, and has trained with federal agencies. Today, he offers personalized training in obedience, personal protection, scent detection, and tracking for families and professionals. His training emphasizes safety, family-friendliness, and clear communication between dog and owner. He provides in-home training for personal protection dogs and offers nationwide delivery of trained dogs. Saber Working Dogs also provides lifetime support, including free problem-solving sessions for North Texas clients and maintenance training. All dogs are trained to be safe around children, other pets, and in diverse environments.
Shane’s approach is rooted in decades of real-world K9 experience, and he tailors each program to the individual dog’s needs and the owner’s goals. He is an approved CLEET instructor for basic handler courses in Oklahoma and trains dogs for law enforcement, personal protection, and sport detection.
