Dog Training Methodology

Methods:

  • Other

Equipment:

  • Harnesses
  • Flat Collars
  • Martingale Collars
  • Pinch Collars

Training begins with a personalized assessment of the dog’s environment and behavior. The Pack Leader approach emphasizes structured walks to establish leadership, followed by commands like sit/stay, leave-it, drop-it, and come. Training progresses with increasing distractions to build self-control. Owner involvement is required in private sessions; the Play and Train Program allows owners to receive updates monthly while Eric handles daily training. Programs are tailored to the dog’s energy, temperament, and goals, with no fixed timeline—progress is based on the dog’s readiness.

Testimonials

Eric loves dogs more than people and it’s the best trait ever! You and your pups will love his high energy attitude in his quick and easy class pack. He will show you how to have a well-trained dog in four easy classes. You can complete the majority of the ‘homework’ through your daily routines with walking and 10-20 minutes training sessions. I love his methods of not using treats making it accessible for all no matter where you are with your dog. Erik is truly passionate about his work and it shows to his dedication to the dogs and their dedication to him. Highly recommend his classes. It’s so convenient for him to come to you for classes!

I contacted Eric when I realized my sweet little rescue was turning out to be not so sweet to other people and dogs. She had started acting more aggressive to just about everyone that wasn’t me, and I began worrying she would bite or be bit. Upon my first meeting with Eric, I quickly learned where I had gone wrong and started learning the fundamentals to be the alpha dog that my dog needed me to be. She used to seem stressed out and never played. Now I can tell she is more relaxed and has even started some playful behavior. The picture attached shows how close she is to the two bulldogs and she was very comfortable. It’s important to know that this isn’t an easy fix and requires dedication to Eric’s program to get the results you want. I absolutely recommend going through his training. You will find it is worth every dollar spent.

Eric is phenomenal. My spouse and I are both psychologists… We had four sessions with Eric, and the amount of change across 8 weeks was phenomenal. He’s not a miracle-worker, but better: he really understands why different behaviors arise, and how to shape dogs – and their humans. He is excellent with shepherds… Klinger is a whole lot more confident on walks now. We’re actually able to walk him in Wash Park… Eric gave us not just one, but multiple tools to help direct Klinger… I would 100% recommend him.
