Rhonda York offers private in-home sessions, group classes, and specialized Kids & Dogs programs. Private sessions are one hour long and cover obedience cues, problem behaviors, and temperament issues, with options for owner coaching or trainer-led sessions. These include a phone consultation before starting.
Group classes include Puppy classes for ages 10 weeks to 5 months, covering basic obedience, playtime, and AKC STAR Puppy preparation in 6-week sessions. Beginner classes for dogs 6 months and older focus on standard obedience and self-control over 6 weeks. Upper Level classes are for experienced dogs, focusing on different skills like Urban Canine at various locations. The AKC Canine Good Citizen class is a 5-week preparation and evaluation for public behavior.
The Kids & Dogs program, based on Family Paws, offers “Dogs & Storks” to prepare dogs for a new baby’s arrival and “Dogs & Toddlers” to adapt training for mobile children, ensuring safe interactions. Dogs with fear or reactivity issues are advised to take private lessons instead of group classes.

“Rhonda is not only an amazing dog trainer, she is an all-around spectacular person! We attended her puppy classes. Our dog is deaf and she read up on helpful tips for us! She also came and assisted us with a very big problem behavior we were experiencing. As a military family it is hard to come into an area not knowing anyone or who to turn to. We recommend Rhonda 100%.”
