The Puppy 101 program is a week-long board and train program for $1200, where puppies stay at the ranch. They learn basic obedience skills such as heel, sit, stay, lay down, and recall, along with dog psychology and socialization tips. This program includes a “go home” private lesson upon pickup.

For more intensive needs, they offer a 2-week intensive training program for $2200, designed to address specific behavioral issues. During this program, dogs live and train 24/7 in the trainer’s home, practicing obedience and behavior in real-world environments and various social situations. This program also includes a “go home” private lesson.

Testimonials

“Doggieville Ranch is fantastic. Trudy is amazing with Dogs, and has created a really fun, safe environment. My 90LB male 16 month old lab a real handful, I could not handle walking him myself. Trudy took him for two weeks of intensive training, and WOW – life changing! All his issues were addressed, and I now walking him is enjoyable for both of us. He actually comes when he is called, heels, sits, all the good things! He has gone back for boarding a few times and I can always rest easy knowing he is being well taken care of and is having a fun time with all the other dogs. I’m so happy we found Trudy!”
– Jennifer H & “Bodie”, Bend, Oregon

“After reading all the great information on the website, I signed Doug up for their 1 week board & train program. A bit about Doug… he is an adorable, but very stubborn puppy. I had been able to teach him a few basic commands, but we were struggling with leash training and his need to “follow his nose” which had become a real problem. Inside our home he was fine, but once we were outside I had little control over him. To be honest, we were a bit of a freak show with me constantly screeching Doug, Doug, Doug! I dropped him off unsure of what to expect when we returned a week later. To say we were shocked at the Doug we picked up is an understatement! He responds quickly now to our commands. I am able to open up our front door without him bolting outside. He also no longer tries to dominate me. Trudy’s techniques are easy to follow. She also came to my home to follow-up with me on any questions I had and to apply the training to our set-up. If you are struggling with a naughty puppy or just need to fine tune commands I highly recommend you give Trudy at Doggieville Ranch a call.”
– Shannon Loomis & “Doug”, Redmond, Oregon

“Trudy is the best. We have used a lot of dog sitters over the years. Many dog walkers and borders take too many dogs. I have never seen Trudy with too many dogs. They come home tired and happy. Trudy opens up her home to the dogs. She gives them lots of one-on-one love and attention. I never feel guilty about leaving our dog with her.She is also an excellent trainer. She really gets results. And if all this is too much, Trudy is a world-class dog photographer.”
– Bob Riley, Half Moon Bay, CA

About the Trainer

Doggieville Ranch is a dog training business founded by Trudy Gardner, a Certified Dog Trainer, and Larry Johnson, an animal lover, who relocated to Redmond, Oregon in 2016 to open a daycare, boarding, and training facility. Trudy expanded her dog sitting business, Half Moon Bay Dogs, to include training after graduating with honors from Animal Behavioral College in 2003.

They focus on positive motivational training methods and behavioral problem solving, aiming to build strong canine/human relationships through positive interaction and consistency. Larry Johnson designed the ranch’s facilities to be fun and engaging for dogs.

Doggieville Ranch offers a unique “home away from home” experience, emphasizing that it is not a traditional kennel. Their Doggievilla facility is cage-free and limits capacity to 15 dogs to ensure personalized attention.

They provide professional dog training while dogs vacation at the ranch, treating them like family members. The daycare program focuses on supervised playtime, socialization, and exercise, helping dogs develop appropriate social skills and burn energy.

They are passionate about building deep bonds between clients and their pets, offering customizable training programs tailored to individual needs. They believe a well-trained dog becomes a good citizen and delights in pleasing people.
