Testimonials
“I could tell from the moment I met Doug that my puppers was going to thrive with him and I was right! We got my dog as a rescue at 5 years old and she was highly reactive to other dogs in a not good way. She would pull and strain against her leash when she saw other dogs playing or running, even at a distance. After just a few sessions with Doug, she learned to calm down and feel safer in those spaces. He took the time to teach us how to work with her and to spot some of her triggers. She responded so well to him and his patient, kind approach. He also made it fun for her and focused the training on positive reinforcement, giving her the time and space to figure things out for herself. I HIGHLY recommend Doug!”

“I was at the end of my rope. My very large and strong dog Winston had become aggressive and hostile towards every living non-human creature. I couldn’t take him anywhere without running the risk of him attacking something, or even leave him unattended around my other dog. Then Doug came to the rescue…! (Queue epic theme music). After attending behavior consultations with Doug, Winston’s back to being the lovable fur bag I knew and loved before his psychotic break. Now, Winston’s happier and so am I.”
– Heidi on behalf of Winston
“Doug is such a fantastic trainer. I would highly recommend using his program to help socialize your dog, and if your dog is a “tough case’, he’s the guy to help you understand what’s going on. In my case, my dog had developed some very strong reactivity to meeting new dogs (after previously being a social butterfly). She still clearly wanted to play/socialize with dogs, but needed to do this in a controlled setting with predictable dogs. Doug patiently spent multiple sessions with us helping to understand her behavior and see if his socialization program could be a good fit for her. I had already educated myself a lot on dog behavior, but watching him work with my dog was like watching a professional chef – whereas I had just read a cookbook!”
