Testimonials
“Jonathan has truly transformed my first dog, Douglas. As a former stray with a traumatic background, Douglas struggled with anxiety, resource guarding, and a strong prey drive. Thanks to Jonathan’s patience and guidance, I’ve gained a deep understanding of Douglas’s body language and learned how to be an effective leader for him. The quality of life for both of us has significantly improved.
When the opportunity arose to rescue my second dog, Jonathan was instrumental in helping me integrate the young pup into our home. It has been incredible to witness Douglas’s growth and how warmly he has welcomed his younger brother–an experience I once thought was impossible. Thank you, Jonathan! Your dedication to helping dogs adapt to city life has made a tremendous difference for us. I truly appreciate you!”

“We were initially looking for basic command training… Jonathan was very honest and up front… He offered to schedule some dedicated dog park time with Daisy and his local Pack – we felt extremely comfortable with Jonathan and took him up on his offer… We would highly recommend Dognify and Jonathan for any dog training needs – especially behavioral focused ones.”
– Client
“Dignify and Jonathan have been transformative for our dog Patty and our family. We enlisted help for some behavioral issues with Patty and not only got a better behaved dog in the process but learned how to direct her energy and gained a skill to help her through any future issues. Jonathan is so knowledgeable, patient and kind and he is a pleasure to work with.”

About the Trainer
Dognify is a Philadelphia-based dog behavioral rehabilitation and training company led by Jonathan Macedo, a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine – Knowledge Assessed (CBCC-KA). They specialize in helping reactive, fearful, aggressive, hyperactive, and anxious dogs thrive in urban environments through personalized, in-home behavioral assessments and treatment sessions. Their approach is rooted in the Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) principles and draws from Steven Lindsay’s scientific framework, emphasizing the dog-owner relationship over quick fixes. Dognify offers ongoing behavioral treatment, structured around a “Problem > Hypothesis > Treatment > Response” model, and empowers owners with the knowledge to manage their dog’s behavior long-term. They also provide supervised group dog park sessions with their trained pack of dogs to help socialize reactive or excitable dogs in a controlled, supportive setting.
Unlike traditional trainers focused on basic commands, Dognify prioritizes understanding the root causes of behavior in the context of city living. They are transparent about their niche—behavioral rehabilitation—and will refer clients to other trainers if basic obedience is the only need. Their team includes Jonathan as the lead consultant and specialized pack members who assist in group sessions, creating a unique, hands-on environment for dogs to learn social cues and self-regulation.
Dognify’s mission is to help dogs live fulfilled lives in dense urban areas by building healthy, respectful relationships between dogs and their families, with a strong emphasis on owner education and lifestyle adaptation.
