Dog’s Eye View Training offers a variety of programs designed to build strong communication and relationships between dogs and owners. Their philosophy centers on teaching “The Communication,” a set of four distinct sounds (“Yes,” “Good,” “Ah-ah,” “No”) used to guide dogs in any situation, alongside establishing solid home structure and routines.
Their online offerings include the free Foundation Mini-Course, which teaches how dogs learn and communicate, and how to set up daily routines for success. The Basics Course is a five-week online program that builds on this foundation, teaching basic obedience exercises and how to apply “The Communication” to real-life skills like loose leash walking and polite greetings.
For in-person training, they offer Board & Train, where dogs stay in the trainers’ home for a minimum of three weeks for intensive immersion, followed by private lessons for the owner. Day Train is a hybrid program where dogs train with the pros four days a week for four weeks and return home each night, also including private lessons. In-Home Private Lessons provide one-on-one instruction at the client’s home or the trainers’ facility, focusing on teaching the owner how to train their dog. Virtual Coaching follows the same format as private lessons but is conducted remotely via their online portal, suitable for non-local clients. All programs include access to the DEV Online Basics Course and lifetime support.

Testimonials
“As someone who has been in group classes, I’ve been that dog owner with the dog that couldn’t stop screaming in class. The Basics Course has really helped us solidify all our basics, making outings with the dogs so much more successful (and my dog can actually learn without losing her mind over other dogs)! Both my dogs have some level of reactivity, whether it be to dogs or people (both fear and excitement based). Since working through this course, I don’t think the average person would be able to tell that either of them have reactivity struggles because our engagement and relationship is so much more solid! Not only are the videos well-thought out, explanations of more complex topics are easy to follow, and the demonstrations are super helpful. Coursework aside, I am so thankful for Kate, Corey, and their dedication to their clients. We live in a different state, but I know that I can always turn to them for guidance and support, even with seemingly silly questions. I would absolutely recommend this course and community to anyone looking to level up their dog training and build a stronger relationship with their dog!”
– Shannon Y.
“When we started with Dogs Eye View Training just a couple of short months ago, our German Shepherd puppy was a hot mess. The thoughts of rehoming our rambunctious pup were getting stronger by the day. Going on walks was a battle of wills. He lurched for every squirrel, rabbit, or deer – yanking me to the ground several times. He was anxious and demanding – our peaceful home was full of chaos. We still have a long way to go, but with the guidance of Corey and Kate we are building the skills and confidence to better handle our still growing boy. The video training is topnotch. Corey explains the why behind the what and builds on concepts week by week. We practice the skills that Corey describes and demonstrates in the videos and then meet in-person for additional guidance. The training teaches you how to communicate so your dog understands what you want. It’s been fun to watch our pup, Inka, grow and learn. You can see the wheels turning in head when he is learning a new concept. I look forward to continuing our training and enjoying peaceful walks with my pup. Thanks Corey and Kate.”

“Corey’s confidence in his ability to help with my situation set my mind at ease from the first call. After my appointment for an evaluation I was totally sold. Corey was able to identify key contributing factors to the negative behaviors I had been experiencing and provided a plan for training. The instruction was easy to follow and implement into daily routine to yield results. Training helped me to effectively communicate and set expectations in a way that my dog can easily understand and follow.
I can’t thank Corey enough for giving me the skills to better my relationship with Vinni. We are both so much happier because of our time with Dog’s Eye View.”
– April & Vinni

Accomplishments
Corey Welch, the Head Trainer, has dedicated his life to canine behavior. He spent about a year learning from a mentor in Los Angeles specializing in intense behavior modification, followed by seven years working for a local dog training company in Arizona, refining his skills with severe behavioral challenges.
Kate Welch, co-owner, graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2012 with a photography degree and a minor in business. She gained experience in recruiting for a healthcare system and staffing for Kelly Services, and later served as Volunteer & Events Manager for the Arizona Animal Welfare League. She joined Corey full-time in Dog’s Eye View in December 2019.
How to Get Started!
To begin training with Dog’s Eye View, clients follow a five-step process. First, they are encouraged to get to know the trainers and their philosophy by reviewing the “About Us,” “Our Philosophy,” and “In Person Training Options” pages, and watching their YouTube Channel.
Next, clients must fill out a New Client Survey to provide an overview of their dog’s current behavior and training goals. This survey directs them to pre-pay and schedule their initial Consultation online.
Before the consultation, clients are required to watch the 1 hour & 45 minute online Foundation Mini-Course, which covers how dogs learn and communicate, and how to establish structure at home. Finally, during the Consultation, the trainers answer questions, evaluate the dog, help decide on a training plan, and schedule the first lesson or program start date. Clients are then granted access to the Basics Course to begin training immediately.
