Dori Dog Training

It’s been a few months since we decided to send our fear aggressive GSD, Dion, to a six week board-and-train with Dori, and we truly couldn’t be happier with the results. Dion had struggled with reactivity towards other dogs since he was a puppy, and he would lunge, growl, and bark whenever he saw one, no matter the distance, which made it difficult for us to take him anywhere. We knew he was a bite risk, which meant we were constantly mitigating the circumstances while trying to give him the happiest and fullest life possible, and I genuinely can’t put into words how hopeless, defeated, and exhausted we were until we found Dori. We felt completely lost as to how to help him, but Dori taught us how to build his confidence, work through the stress of being around other dogs, and make better choices in the moment, such as disengaging from his trigger and re-engaging with us. Dori also helped us understand that our own anxiety, fear, and frustration was only adding to Dion’s, which allowed us to build a new relationship with him based off of calmness, confidence, and trust. He’s now the adventure buddy we always hoped he would be, and we couldn’t be more grateful to Dori for everything he’s done for us. Had we known how life-changing working with him would be, we would have done it much, much sooner. Our pups only have a short time in this world with us, and every single second that can be spent playing, adventuring, and having fun together instead of struggling, stressing, or just leaving them at home to avoid any problems altogether is worth the investment tens times over. If you’re going back and forth about whether or not to begin training, even just booking an assessment with Dori could be exactly what you need to give you and your dog a fresh start together.

When we adopted Koko out of a prison program, she was about to hit her threshold. She was reactive and lacked confidence, but I knew there was a sweet pup underneath!. So when Dori was recommended by a dear friend of mine, I decided to have her behavioral needs assessed. I saw the change immediately when Dori began to work with her. Initially, she had been apprehensive with males, e.g. growling and barking, but with Dori, she adapted quickly and was responsive to his training. After my observations, we made the decision to sign her up for a 3 week board and train, which just happened to work out because we needed to board her while we were out of the country. We received updates, she was groomed, and when we got back, she was following our commands with little issues. Since we have had her back, she has been super easygoing, especially when meeting other dogs and males. ( Meeting kids was never an issue. She loves children. )
I would recommend Dori Dog Training over and over again. And I know the initial costs may be a shock, but it is worth it knowing your dog will not bite or attack other dogs or people! That peace of mind is worth every penny! Thank you Dori!!

I sent my one-and-a-half year old Husky, Marlo, to Dori Dog Training this spring due to multiple behavioral concerns not limited to, but includes: reactivity, poor leash skills, separation anxiety, and resource guarding. We chose to proceed with the six-week board and train program. I received daily updates and pictures of Marlo and attended weekly sessions to track her progress. Not only did Dori resolve Marlo’s behavioral issues, he taught her functional skills now imperative to our everyday life. Marlo’s transformation was almost unbelievable. It was the best decision I’ve ever made and Dori will now be our forever board/trainer and number one resource for all questions comments and concerns regarding canine behavior.
