Testimonials
“Tom and I felt like we learned so much from Lesley and her training. And our Corgi/Heeler rescue, Dobie, loves her so much! Dobie is our first dog in over 40 years and we were novices in many ways. We learned about being consistent and more patient with Dobie. Lesley taught us more about dogs in general. The best thing about the training is that Lesley gave us handouts full of training situations and suggestions. If we have a question about leash walking or barking, we can go through the handouts and find ways to improve Dobie’s behavior. Lesley was reliable and always on time and made training fun for Dobie. She went the extra mile for us and we highly recommend her working with any dog, large or small.”

“I enjoyed the Foundation I For Dogs class, and my dog, Barney, did too! I have had previous experience with Lesley when she came to my house to instruct us and Willow with her training. I was impressed then with her knowledge and patience. Willow did well and seemed to enjoy it.When I got Barney, I knew who I wanted to help me with him. I chose this class because of Lesley, and it seemed a good fit for Barney and me. He seemed to really like going to class, and I was glad to see how he interacted with other people and dogs that are strangers.Barney knew a couple of basic commands, and he picked up some others that she taught us very quickly. What I particularly liked was Lesley’s knowledge of dogs, their body language, and behaviors. I learned a good bit from her, and I enjoyed looking for these in not only my dog, but in other dogs too.Barney and I liked the class at the end when the dogs and their people got to go through everything we learned in a rally obedience course set up in a few rooms. He did better than I did!Lesley was always punctual and prepared, and she was very clear about what we were going to do on each day. She answered all of our questions and explained things clearly. She also gave reading material for us to take home. I would certainly recommend this class, and Lesley, to my friends and family, and I would not hesitate to sign up for any other dog training class I feel is appropriate for my dog and me.”

“We recently signed up for Lesley’s Foundation 1 training for our 6-month-old mini Australian Shepherd. We hadn’t had a puppy in quite a while and the general consensus of most people was the Aussie would be a handful.Lesley knew exactly what to expect from an Aussie and how she would act and react to most if not all kinds of stimulation. We learned how to redirect her energy in play and in training sessions. The most valuable for us were the handouts for each lesson so we could practice after the lesson. It was a lot to remember and the handouts were brief and easy to follow. The course was a great starting point with a new dog or puppy before any frustration starts to cloud the relationship between pet and person.Lesley has a passion for training and understanding puppies and dogs that is wonderful! We are ready for the next class!”
