Elaine Cury Dog Obedience provides private, in-home dog obedience lessons. Elaine has been training dogs since 1989, focusing on dog psychology rather than human psychology to achieve success. She specializes in addressing aggressive behavior and other common behavioral problems.
Each lesson lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, with significant time dedicated to working directly with the owner. Elaine evaluates the dog’s temperament, personality, environment, and the owner’s relationship with the dog to develop a customized plan. She also provides homework for clients to practice between sessions.
Elaine offers boarding services exclusively for dogs she has previously trained, where dogs stay in her home rather than a kennel. Lessons can take place in the client’s home or at a dog park, allowing for corrections in the environment where unwanted behaviors occur.
