Elevate K-9 Training

David goes above and beyond for us and our dog Milo. Not only did our dog have a real transformation in training with him (so did we as Milo’s owners), he has been ongoing support for our journey with our dog and I recommend him to everyone and anyone looking for the real deal! We still have Milo go to Elevate for boarding and training and we always know that Milo is getting the best care with real dog love while he is there. Thanks for being our dog teacher and whisperer, David! It’s a gamechanger.

I met David, the owner, through my mom and knew he worked really well with dogs but at the time, it was irrelevant. Until my boyfriend and I decided we wanted a dog, we knew we wanted to rescue but went out on a whim not thinking about training or doing as much research as we should have. We got our puppy, Bolt (who’d lived at the shelter his whole 6 months of life), in February, he didn’t know any commands, wasn’t potty or house trained, barked all the time, destroyed things, and didn’t know how to walk on a leash. After about a month of dealing with this and trying but failing to train him, I decided to contact David before giving up on Bolt.

David was just launching his business and we were one of the first customers! We decided to do the ELITE boarding package because it’s what would work best for us. We put our trust into David because we didn’t want to give up on Bolt. David kept us in the loop, sent us pictures and videos of them working, updated us on how he was acting and everything else you can think of that you’d need to feel comfortable. He was always open to answering questions we had, providing detailed information on the training sessions and even with Bolt’s breed!

After being gone for about a month, when we got Bolt back we were very shocked to say the least. He was a completely different dog, he had house manners, his personality came through, he only barked when he was trying to communicate, knew how to walk on a leash, followed commands- he even would drop his favorite toy in the middle of playing if told to!, could walk off leash and was so much happier. We were and still are very grateful for the training! When we first got him back, for about two months we would talk about how much of a different dog he is, how well he listens and acts, and how we’re glad we didn’t give up on him. Bolt is now 1 year old and is the best dog I know.

David and Bolt still get to have little sessions and see each other almost every 3 months since my boyfriend and I like to travel. That’s another perk, David provides discounted boarding sessions for pups he’s trained and they’re always excited to see each other which lets us know that he’s in safe and good hands. People always compliment us on Bolt’s manners and how well he is trained, I’m always happy and confident to share David’s information with them!
