Elite Canine offers a variety of training programs. The **Canine Good Citizen Prep & Test Class** is a 6-week program for dogs to prepare for the AKC CGC test, covering basic skills like loose-leash walking and recall, with the test included. **Camel City College** is a 4-week class focusing on real-world distractions, reliable cues, recall, and walking skills, requiring a Beginner II class prerequisite. **Yappy Hour** provides 1-hour supervised playtimes for puppies to socialize in new environments and with people.
**Puppy S.T.A.R.S.** is a 5-week program for puppies aged 10 weeks to 4 months, focusing on early socialization, basic commands (sit, down, recall), and addressing common puppy behaviors like potty training and nipping, including puppy playtime and eligibility for the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate. **Novice Skills** is a 4-week class for dogs 5 months and older, teaching basic commands and manners to address behaviors like jumping and barking. **Take the Lead** is a 5-week class that advances training to focus on loose leash walking with distractions and proofing behaviors. **Bark University** is a final challenge class for Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Certificates.
Private training options include **Private Obedience Training Sessions** tailored to individual dog needs, covering basic to advanced skills like recall and loose leash walking, available in-home or virtually. **Private Loose Leash Walking Instruction** helps dogs walk calmly on a leash, and **Private Recall Sessions** build a reliable recall. Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
Class fees vary by program: Canine Good Citizen Prep & Test Class is $275 for 6 weeks. Camel City College is $220 for 4 weeks. Novice Skills is $210 for 4 weeks. Puppy S.T.A.R.S. is $220 for 5 weeks. Take the Lead is $220 for 5 weeks. The FURst Aid & CPR Workshop costs $25. Yappy Hour is $10 or $15 depending on location. Payment reserves a spot in class, and all registration fees are non-refundable. The cost of AKC certificates is not included in class fees.
Policies
All registration fees for classes are non-refundable. For the Canine Good Citizen Prep & Test Class, the instructor reserves the right to excuse any dog with insufficient skills, reactivity, or aggression, with no refunds provided. For Camel City College and Take the Lead classes, if a dog does not meet the prerequisite skills, the owner will be moved to an available beginner class, and no refund will be issued. For Novice Skills and Puppy S.T.A.R.S. classes, attendance at the first class is mandatory.

Elite Canine is a positive reinforcement, force-free dog training center with over 20 years of experience. They are dedicated to helping dog owners build a lifelong relationship with their canine companions through a broad range of educational programs and services. The primary trainer, Geralyn Kelly, considers dog training her full-time profession and life’s passion.
More than 90% of their customers are referred by veterinary/pet care professionals, local rescue organizations, or word-of-mouth from satisfied clients. Elite Canine aims to pave the way toward a better life for all dogs and their families.
In addition to various training classes, Elite Canine offers private training sessions, dog walking services, and a FURst Aid & CPR Workshop for pet parents.
Accomplishments
Geralyn Kelly, the trainer at Elite Canine, has over 20 years of experience in dog training, beginning in 2002. Her background includes working in a daycare/kennel, training at a large corporate pet store chain where she learned Ethology and Learning Theory, and developing a training program for a private kennel that included Obedience, Agility, and Flyball. She also trained numerous other dog trainers. Geralyn founded Elite Canine in December 2012.
A significant accomplishment is the Elite Canine’s Comfort Dog Team, which visits various facilities like SECU Family House, Brookstown, Creekside Terrace, Brighton Gardens, Hospice, and Ronald McDonald House. This team received the Morykwas Humane Citizen Award in November 2015 and the Governor’s Volunteer Award in 2017. Elite Canine has actively participated in community involvement, sponsoring and co-hosting numerous fundraising events that have raised over $20,000, collected pet supplies, and funded fences for chained dogs.

To get started, clients can sign up for classes through the Elite Canine portal. Upcoming class dates and registration links are available on the respective program pages. For the FURst Aid & CPR Workshop, clients are asked to text to confirm attendance. A class calendar is also available for checking schedules.
