Elite K9 Training

Elite K9 Training offers foundational and advanced obedience programs, as well as behavior modification. Foundational training focuses on creating stable communication between dog and owner, starting in the home, progressing to walking routes, and culminating in tiered weekly group classes. These group classes (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) are offered for life with a single investment in foundational training.

Advanced obedience training is designed for higher-level conversations and proximal accountability, often utilizing E-Collars to generate handler confidence in the dog’s performance amidst distractions. This course is recommended for off-leash reliability, trail companions, working dog applications, and achieving the highest level of communication. Behavior modification is a reconditioning or desensitization process that teaches owners how to communicate when a dog’s behavior is outside expectations, fostering new decisions to replace undesired outputs. This is often included with fundamental training at no additional cost. All programs are customized based on the client’s lifestyle, family dynamic, and desired end goals for their dog, and are conducted in the dog’s comfortable home environment.

Pricing Summary

Elite K9 Training does not offer 10-pack session packages or board and train options, as they believe these are ineffective. They provide unlimited training and lifetime access to beginner, intermediate, and advanced group classes with a single investment in foundational training.

They also use classical conditioning, operant conditioning, clicker training, electronic stimulation training, mirrored and modeled development, relationship-based training, and pack-based alpha dog training.

Chris Winkler is the owner and founder of Elite K9 Training. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, honorably discharged in 2012. His journey with dogs began after acquiring a service dog. He honed his expertise through numerous apprenticeships, seminars, events, and workshops before establishing Elite K9 Training LLC in 2017.

How to Get Started!

To get started, clients are encouraged to share information about their dog. The process begins with an in-home visit where the trainers discuss the client’s lifestyle, family dynamic, and desired end goals for their dog to create a custom training plan.
