Monique has been amazing with our puppy Moo. She was a disaster – no leash skills, demand barking, no listening. We did her board and train program and she is leaps and bounds better. Walks are not fights anymore! She holds place command which is HUGE for her zainy brain. She is still a work in progress, but Monique gave her the head start and gave us the tools we need to continue to work on her skills and to have a manageable, well rounded dog. Monique is patient and thorough and really cares about the animals. I HIGHLY recommend her for your training needs 🙂

Monique’s love for dogs shows the moment you meet her. You know your dog will be in good hands whether it’s boarding, board and train or even one on one lessons. She never made us feel dumb or that we are bad owners or that we couldn’t do something. She even gave us the perspective to know our dog in a different way and to advocate for him more.
Her style of training has been exactly what we’ve been looking for. She isn’t a “militant” trainer and doesn’t beat your dog down into submission, it’s all about clear communication and staying calm.
Our dog did a 2wk board and train which gave us a great foundation of place, treadmill and leash communication to build on and he has improved leaps and bounds at home in just 2 weeks.
We’re so grateful.
And when she came for a home visit Ragnar was even excited to see her! You know that’s a good sign.

I went to Monique with my 3 year old extremely reactive & fearful dog basically at my wits end because I could not get him to listen to me. I was frustrated and he was frustrated. Monique is a miracle worker. Not only did she get to the root of the issue between my dog and me, she helped me understand that I wasn’t speaking to him in a language he could understand, hence the fearful and reactive behaviors. To alleviate this she recommended methods I had always avoided in the past. So I was a bit apprehensive at first when she introduced the prong collar and e-collar as tools to use, but once I understood that these are not painful corrective tools, but instead tools to help my dog understand what I want from him, and we began using these methods, my dog and I both transformed. He listens to me now. It’s like a mamma dog gently correcting a puppy’s unwanted behavior by applying gentle pressure to his scruff, so same idea with these collars. The gentle pressure and stimulation helps him know that I have his back, am in charge, and that he has nothing to be afraid of. He has gone from being tense- visible in his body language- especially his ears, to now being relaxed and the floppy puppy ears have returned. He looks to me for guidance now and listens and calms down when stimulated, which is a huge change. Monique’s training methodology, patience, and incredible insight to a dogs mind has changed the relationship between my dog and me in a way I didn’t believe was possible. My friends and family have mentioned that he doesn’t even seem like the same dog, he’s so less stressed and well mannered now. I have Monique to thank for that. I cannot recommend her enough.
