Elizabeth offers behavior modification for dogs exhibiting fear, stress, agitation, and aggression, including reactivity, resource guarding, biting, and trauma-related behaviors. She also helps with basic manners. Training plans are individualized, using humane, evidence-based, positive, and force-free methods.

Sessions are available online globally, allowing training where the dog is most comfortable. Online sessions combine Zoom meetings with ongoing support via messaging and video exchanges. In-person training is offered in Enfield, CT, and surrounding areas, as well as seasonally in the Seacoast of New Hampshire and the Big Bend Area of Florida (Tallahassee, Taylor County, Gainesville).

About the Trainer

Elizabeth Ingalls Dog Behavior and Training offers humane, evidence-based dog training and behavior modification services. Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience in canine welfare, including roles as a rescue volunteer and Executive Director of Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. She is committed to upholding practices put forth by the AVSAB and focuses on improving and maintaining the human-dog bond.

Elizabeth is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the IAABC and a Licensed Family Dog Mediator (L-FDM). She is considered an expert in livestock guardian dog breeds (LGD), particularly Great Pyrenees, and works with national rescue groups. She was named the #1 aggressive dog trainer and #1 remote/online dog trainer in the United States, and the #1 dog trainer in CT and Hartford County in 2023 and 2024.

Her approach is holistic, taking into account a dog’s unique life experiences, breed, and mindset to create individualized training plans. She uses positive reinforcement and fear-free methods to facilitate lasting changes in behavior, focusing on helping dogs succeed in the modern, human-centered world. Services are available for all breeds and ages, with a significant focus on dogs struggling with aggression or anxiety.

Accomplishments

Elizabeth holds a BS degree in Biology from Bay Path University (graduated with honors). She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the IAABC and a Licensed Family Dog Mediator (L-FDM). She completed the LEGS, Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation course and the Aggression in Dogs Master Course by Michael Shikashio.

She also completed an intensive international mentorship with Hannah Sadgrove and Taz Nicholls of Thinkdog NZ. Elizabeth was named the #1 aggressive dog trainer and #1 remote/online dog trainer in the United States, and the #1 dog trainer in CT and Hartford County in 2023 and 2024 by Sniffspot. She is the founder and expert moderator of the Great Pyrenees Training that Works Facebook Group.
