EDOC offers a wide range of classes for both family dogs and competitive dog sports. Family dog classes include Puppy Class (up to 20 weeks old, 6 weeks long, 8 participants max), Beyond Puppy (drop-in, prerequisite: EDOC puppy class), Basic I Obedience (6 months or older or puppy graduate, 6 weeks, 8 participants max), and Basic II Obedience/Canine Good Citizen Class (prerequisite: Basic I, 6 weeks, 8 participants max). Positive Reinforcement Basic I and Advanced Positive Reinforcement Obedience classes are also offered, taught with clicker and positive reinforcement techniques, with a maximum of six participants for 6 weeks. Beginner Rally Obedience (AKC sport, 8 participants max) and Drop-in Rally classes are available.
Competition classes include Novice, Open, and Utility Obedience, each 6 weeks long with a maximum of six participants. Open and Utility classes require instructor permission and are taught using traditional methods. AKC Scent Work is offered at Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels (8 participants max), suitable for all dogs and focusing on nose work. Conformation Handling is an ongoing drop-in class. Additional competition-focused classes include Training Foundations, Crate to Gate, Reducing Reinforcement, and Putting It All Together, all 6 weeks long with varying participant limits. Tracking classes are offered in fall and winter, consisting of two 6-week sessions, preparing teams for AKC Tracking Dog Tests, with a class limit of 4 and a fee of $150 per session.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing Summary
All EDOC classes are $120 for 6 consecutive weekly sessions, unless otherwise noted. The Tracking class is $150 for 6 lessons. The Beyond Puppy drop-in class costs $20, or $10 for EDOC members. The Drop-in Rally class fee is $10 per evening.
Policies
The wearing of masks in class is optional. EDOC states it is not responsible for human or canine illness of any kind.

How to Get Started!
Prospective clients can check the class schedule for starting dates. For some advanced competition classes like Open and Utility Obedience, instructor permission is required. For Saturday Basic I Obedience classes, vaccine records (current DHP and Rabies) must be provided, either at the first class or sent ahead via email. Drop-in Rally class registration is taken in class.
