About the Trainer

Empire Ridge Ranch is a dog training business led by Liane Ehrich, a Certified Veterinary Technician and certified AKC judge in herding, CGC, and farm dog evaluations. They specialize in training high-drive, high-emotion dogs—particularly herding and working breeds—using science-based, positive, game-based methods to address reactivity, anxiety, over-arousal, and behavioral challenges. Services include private one-on-one coaching, group classes in Tucson, AZ, and specialized programs in herding, rally obedience, dock diving, disc, scentwork, barn hunt, and IGP/Schutzhund. They offer a Gold Program combining behavior coaching with sport training and provide free consultations and breed assessments. Their facility is indoor and air-conditioned, and they emphasize building long-term partnerships between dogs and owners through tailored, results-driven training.

Liane has been featured in veterinary and pet publications and hosts the podcast “Your Dog’s Best Life.” Clients report transformative results with reactive, fearful, or intense dogs, including improved confidence, reduced aggression, and success in competitive sports. Training is designed to meet dogs where they are, honoring their genetics and emotional needs without shortcuts or one-size-fits-all approaches.
