Every Day Canine offers a variety of training programs designed to build a strong bond and clear communication between dogs and their owners.

Private Lessons are available at their Rutland training center or in your home. Nate specializes in reactivity, aggressive dogs, basic and sport obedience, sport dogs (protection, scent work, police dogs), and puppies. Mary focuses on basic obedience, Canine Good Citizen, AKC rally/obedience, and puppies.

Day School provides consistent, personalized training for general obedience behaviors such as sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, formal heeling, recall, duration stay on place, and threshold/doorway manners. It also addresses prevention and resolution of reactivity and cooperative care. Training is conducted in the classroom, generalized in public, and proofed with distractions, including off-campus trips. A private lesson with Mary is required to join the day school waitlist.

Service Dog training is offered for hearing assistance, mobility assistance, PTSD assistance, odor alert, and deep pressure therapy. They do not train diabetes or seeing eye dogs. They also help clients find suitable service dog candidates and offer a Service Dog Scholarship through a non-profit organization.

Adventure Dog outings are off-leash adventures for current or past clients, requiring prior completion of day school or an e-collar/recall lesson package. Group classes are available for rally and obedience, open to current clients first.

Pricing Summary

Private Training Center Lessons with Nate or Mary are $115 per hour. Home Lessons with Nate are $150 per hour, plus a mileage charge of $0.75 per mile each way for distances over 10 miles from EDC.

Training packages include Reactive Rehab (1 home lesson, 4 center lessons with Nate) for $610, The Basics / Puppies (4 lessons with Mary) for $460, E Collar Intro and Fun (3 lessons with Nate, 1 with Mary, includes Dogtra e-collar) for $645, and Loose Leash (4 lessons with Nate, includes prong or slip leash) for $345.

Day School options are $245/month for once a week, $415/month for two times a week, and $790/month for four times a week, all with a one-month minimum. A membership for current or past clients is available for $49.99/month or $700/year, including 2 drop-in day school days, 3 lessons, 10% off all services, and priority booking.

Adventure Dog outings are $60/day, or $30/day as an add-on for day school dogs. A $5 charge applies for pick-up and drop-off services. Group Classes with Mary are $25 for past and current clients.

Grooming services include Bath, Brush, Blowout starting at $30, Bath, Brush, Blowout, & Full Trim starting at $45, and Nail Trims for $20. Prices for grooming are based on dog weight, coat type, and condition.

Clients should expect to hear back from Every Day Canine within 14 business days (Monday-Thursday). If no response is received, clients are advised to check their spam folders and consider reaching out again.

Accomplishments

Every Day Canine, LLC is run by award-winning dog trainers. Nate Harvey, the Head Trainer and Owner, has been handling working dogs since 2017 and is Master Trainer Certified (2022) from the Highland Canine Master Trainer Program. He has extensive experience in search and rescue, tracking, drug detection, and patrol, and has participated in various decoy seminars and taught canine first aid classes.

Mary Bovaconti, the Assistant Trainer and Groomer, is an experienced dog trainer with a strong background in AKC obedience and rally competitions. She has hands-on experience in scent detection and has started training in protection sports. Mary is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, Penn Foster Dog Grooming Certified, and Fear Free Groomer Certified.

To begin training, Every Day Canine encourages clients to sign up for a private session first, which allows them to assess the dog’s needs and create a customized training plan.
