Programs include manners, obedience, and trick training, as well as problem-solving for common issues like housebreaking, nipping, barking, digging, loose leash walking, aggression, and separation anxiety. They also offer instruction for puppy socialization and management, and “training while you work” options.

Clients set their own goals, and the trainer works to help them become kind and effective leaders. Programs can include evaluations/consultations, 4-week puppy lessons, and 6-week sessions. Group classes cover Levels Training, Canine Good Citizen prep and testing, and AKC Puppy Star prep and testing.

Testimonials

“Bonnie was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She was patient as she helped train my puppy and showed me how to continue the training. I would recommend her.”
– Becky Miegel

“We called several local dog training businesses and Bonnie was the first to get back to us right away. We desperately needed help learning how to communicate with and train our 5 month old silver lab puppy. Not only was Bonnie punctual for our sessions but she was enthusiastic and took the time to explain to us the best ways to work with our pup to train him effectively by using positive reinforcement. Our dog now knows basic commands and we’re working on recall with him which will take some time, but Bonnie shared training guides with us in addition to her hands on sessions. We will definitely reach out if we have more questions in the future or need more training sessions. She was lovely to have in our home. Very insightful and professional! And our pup loves her!”
– Rachel Dolce

“Bonnie saved me from having to give back my purebred Lakie! I had resident Wire Fox Terrier and added a Lakeland. They would fight over resources and misplaced aggression from the neighbor’s dog. A popular “certified” trainer (no degree) told me the 4-month-old Lakeland was “deviant” and “mis-wired.” As tears streamed down my face, she offered to ‘take him off my hands” – a very expensive, very cute dog. I called the breeder, who said the “trainer” was wrong: the Lakeland was submissive in the litter, and my stress was adding to their stress. Then I called Bonnie. Results were amazing. I learned techniques that improved the relationship between the 2 dogs. I learned how to bette read their behavior, which is subtle. They were never “buddy buds,” but with 2 unrelated terriers, you don’t expect that. They got along well after training: no more fights over resources.”
