Fame Kennels & Training Academy offers various training programs including Private Training, Board & Train, and CGC/CGCA/CGCU Testing.
Private Training sessions are 1 hour long, meeting weekly or bi-weekly. These programs can be structured to meet individual dog and owner needs, covering 2-3 skills per class to build a solid foundation. Homework assignments and lesson recaps are provided after each session. Skills covered range from Basic On Leash Skills to Advanced Off Leash reliability, including “Let’s go” (loose leash walk), “Heel” (formal walk), Stay, Come (recall), Sit, Down, and Place.
Board & Train programs are offered in different durations. Puppy Preschool is a two-week course for young puppies focusing on training fundamentals, requiring Rabies and two sets of puppy shots. The 2-Week Board & Train is for dogs over 6 months, teaching fundamentals and basic obedience, with a focus on on-leash skills and starting off-leash reliability at the facility. The 3-Week Board & Train, also for dogs over 6 months, covers basic and advanced obedience, with training conducted both at the facility and off-site for proofing commands, covering on-leash skills and off-leash reliability. The 4-6 Week Board & Train courses are customized for individual dog needs, focusing on behavior modification, off-site training, and complete off-leash reliability.
All Board & Train programs include follow-up sessions and lifetime support. Owners receive picture and video updates 2-3 times weekly on their dog’s training progress.
