Testimonials
“We couldn’t be happier. We were so worried to find someone to watch our 2 yr old male German Shepherd as not many people are accustomed to dogs of that size or energy level. FDF Canine Services took incredible care of him and sent us daily updates and photos which made our trip stress free. They care for your pet as if it were their own. We will absolutely be using them for every trip we take in the future.”
-Elizabeth Weaver
“I’m one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to someone watching my dogs. We have a unique dynamic that requires them to be crated and rotated due to personality clashed. I get so stressed out when I leave them behind…and Allie and Joe changed all of that! I don’t trust anyone like I trust them. Their combined experience and expertise and second to none!”
-Erica Daniel
“We left our yellow lab with Foster Dog Farm for three weeks to be trained, and they have done a fantastic job. Milo is solid, and it was painful to walk him anywhere. He would bark at people and other animals and pull us, scarring all my neighbors. Milo would bark at all my guests and bolt outside whenever we left the door open. He came home with a different dog. Now he listens to us; he constantly makes eye contact to get directions and is still the happy pup he has always been without being in trouble all the time. Another thing I appreciate about this place is that my Dog has allergies, and when they kicked in, they took him to the vet and medicated him for us. Thank you, Joe and crew, for your love and care for our Milo. We will continue using your service and letting our friends and families know how fortunate we are to have this wonderful place to use!”

About the Trainer
FDF Canine Services is a dog training and boarding facility founded in 2016 by Allie Menendez, a Certified Veterinary Technician, and Joe Menendez, a Certified Guide Dog Trainer through the International Guide Dog Federation. They offer personalized dog training programs including private lessons, day training, and intensive board-and-train camps designed to address behavioral issues and build obedience. Their unique advantage lies in their combined expertise in veterinary care, shelter medicine, and professional guide dog training, allowing them to handle complex cases including aggression, reactivity, separation anxiety, and medical needs. They also provide full-service pet boarding, daycare, and in-home services, with a farm-based facility that accommodates dogs of all sizes—from teacup Chihuahuas to 200lb Great Danes. Dogs receive daily updates, photos, and individualized care, and the team has successfully helped over 300 foster dogs find permanent homes. Their approach is rooted in positive reinforcement and behavior modification, with a strong emphasis on consistency, communication, and compassion.
The team includes Joe Menendez, who has over 15 years of experience training guide dogs and behavior modification; Allie Menendez, a CVT with extensive emergency and shelter experience; Ryan Long, a former shelter operations manager; and Alie, a Certified Canine Trainer trained under Joe and Ryan. They are deeply involved in local rescues and prioritize keeping dogs out of shelters through training and socialization.
FDF Canine Services is known for exceptional client communication, handling special needs such as deaf dogs, allergies, and multi-dog households with personality conflicts, and offering a stress-free experience for pet owners traveling or needing intensive training solutions.
