Testimonials

Truly an amazing find. Kyle and his team clearly love and understand dogs. The care they provide is amazing. My boy Boston hadn’t been socialized much, so I had concerns about him mingling in a big group. I had a 10 day trip to Greece planned and my house/dog sitter fell through. Best decision I made was boarding him with Feels Like Home Dog Care. The team is professional, paperwork is easy and the meet and greet puts your mind at ease about Kyle’s presence and the dogs coexisting happily. Super impressed, couldn’t be more pleased about the time my Husky spent with their team. Best part, daily updates and a photo of my Fur Monster! (and if you’re following along via Instagram, you can watch video stories and postings) No kennels, great indoor and outdoor space, secure and safe place, even for my notorious husky escape artist. They go above and beyond. Wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

Kyle and team at Feels Like Home Dog Care were so wonderful with our (1YO) Winnie girl during her stay for 7 days. It was her first time staying without family, and the team made us feel so at ease about it while we were on vacation. It was important to us that she was at a place that felt like home and continued her routine where she could run free, play, and even sleep where she felt most comfortable and safe (in a bed laying on top of someone’s head ). Prior to her stay she also went to daycare here a few times where she could socialize and play with other dogs. We will absolutely be taking her here for future stays and plays.

This place is so much better than the big chain doggy daycares. Here, the dogs truly get individual attention and care. We will definitely be back!

About the Trainer

Feels Like Home: Dog Care is a veteran-owned dog training business based in Santee, CA, founded by Kyle Parrillo, a certified dog trainer through the Animal Behavior College. Kyle has trained dogs firsthand at Paws of Coronado Shelter and Tails of Mana Dog Rescue, and volunteers at local shelters. He uses positive reinforcement methods to teach basic obedience, leash training, and behavior modification. The business also offers cage-free dog daycare and boarding, allowing dogs to receive consistent training and care in a home-like environment. All staff members are animal-loving professionals with experience in fostering, nursing, and animal behavior. Training is conducted on-site at their facility, and clients receive daily photo updates and personalized attention. Dogs must pass a meet-and-greet and be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations to participate.

Kyle’s personal journey—losing his husky Phillip to cancer and dedicating his life to fostering over 40 dogs—drives his commitment to treating every dog as family. His wife, Victoria, a registered nurse and Navy veteran, manages operations with a calm, attentive approach. The team includes experienced caregivers like Morgan and Veronica, who bring expertise in enrichment and rescue rehabilitation. Training is integrated with daycare and boarding, ensuring continuity of behavior reinforcement.

The business is licensed, insured, and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. They serve dog owners in Santee and surrounding East County areas, offering flexible scheduling and a safe, climate-controlled facility with indoor/outdoor play areas. Their focus on individualized care, transparency, and emotional support makes them a trusted choice for pet parents seeking compassionate, professional training.

How to Get Started!

Client engagement begins with scheduling a meet-and-greet via the contact page or phone. During the meet-and-greet, the trainer assesses the dog’s behavior, discusses training goals, reviews vaccination records, and ensures compatibility with the facility. Training sessions are scheduled after the meet-and-greet is successfully completed.
