Klaus Rempis, a trainer and owner, began with Schutzhund in 1968, competed internationally, joined Search and Rescue Clubs, and titled over 120 dogs in Schutzhund in Germany. After 9/11, he was taught by Alfons Fiesler and subsequently trained many police officers. He founded Florida Dog Academy in 2000, and many of his students have become successful dog trainers.
Alfons Fiesler, the Chief Trainer, is in charge of all explosive and working dogs for the German Border Police (BGS) and serves as a judge for DHV Schutzhund, rescue, and police/military working dogs. His 40 years of experience and training methods have earned him international respect and have been instrumental in developing the academy’s protocols. The academy has worked with Military and Law Enforcement Agencies both overseas and within the United States, providing high-quality services to governmental contractors.
