Florida West Coast Air Dogs

Florida West Coast Air Dogs offers Open Dock sessions every Saturday and Sunday, from 9am to Noon and 2pm to 6pm. Beginner Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 2pm. A minimum of one private lesson is required before attending a Beginner Class.

They also offer upcoming seminars and workshops on popular dock diving games like Catch-It, Fetch-It, and Chase-It, developed by Milt Wilcox of Ultimate Air Dogs.

Pricing Summary

Annual membership costs $65 for individuals or couples, offering reduced dock fees and other discounts. Non-member dock fees are $25 for one dog, $45 for two dogs, and $60 for three dogs. Members pay $20 for one dog, $35 for two dogs, and $50 for three dogs.

Private lessons are $60 per hour. Beginner classes are $25 per dog per session. Pool rental for members is $50 per hour; groups/private parties should call for pricing.

Policies

A private lesson is required before attending a Beginner Class. Hours are subject to change seasonally. An authorized representative of Florida West Coast Air Dogs must be present during all activities and events.

Florida West Coast Air Dogs is owned and operated by Barb Lentz and her husband John Gattignolo. It is located within the Dog Stars facility in Bradenton, FL, which is a full-service boarding, training, and grooming facility.

Barb Lentz has 38 years of dog training experience and has been the Training Director for Dog Stars since 2005. She specializes in multiple breeds of dogs and has titled multiple dogs in obedience, agility, flyball, lure coursing, and dock diving.

The business focuses on dock diving, offering open dock sessions, beginner classes, and private lessons. They also offer an annual membership with reduced dock fees, advanced email notifications for special events, pool rental privileges, and special rates for seminars and workshops.

Accomplishments

Barb Lentz has 38 years of dog training experience and was a teacher for 40 years with Sarasota County Schools. She was an Agility Competitor from 1996-2010, qualifying nationally and regionally from 1997-2000 in AKC, USDAA, NADAC, and TDAA. She has been the Training Director for Dog Stars since 2005.

Since 2010, she has been competing in Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Diving Competitions, traveling to tournaments nationwide. She competed in IDC Atlanta, GA in 2012. Barb has titled multiple dogs in obedience, agility, flyball, lure coursing, and dock diving. Her dogs have achieved titles such as Grand Master Jumper Champion, United Supreme Fetch-It, Grand Senior Jumper Champion, United Novice Jumper Champion, and Grand Novice Jumper Champion, with multiple UAD National Qualifier achievements.
