Focus Dog Training

Focus Dog Training offers a variety of programs including group classes, private lessons, day training, and training walks. Group classes are 6 weeks long and are available for dogs 10 weeks and older with up-to-date vaccines. These classes cover puppy skills, basic cues, loose leash walking, confidence building, recall, and impulse control across five levels, with Level 5 preparing dogs for the Canine Good Citizen Advanced title and Therapy Dog test. Specialized Trick, Parkour, Rally, and Reactivity classes are also offered, with Reactivity classes available in summer months.

Private lessons are conducted in-home, providing one-on-one instruction with a custom schedule and curriculum tailored to the dog and family. These are highly recommended for anxious and reactive dogs. Day training is a supplemental service that includes an hour-long outing with the trainer in a pet-friendly store or park, focusing on specific training goals. Training walks are 30-minute or 1-hour sessions where the trainer works with the dog alone, providing owners with videos, pictures, and feedback upon completion.

Pricing Summary

Group classes are priced at $155 for 6 weeks for Levels 1-5, and $115 for 4 weeks for Trick and Reactivity classes. Private lessons are offered in packages: 1 for $120, 3 for $330, and 5 for $495.

Day training sessions cost $95 for 1 session, $260 for 3 sessions, and $360 for 5 sessions. Training walks are $30 for 30 minutes and $45 for 1 hour.

A 3% fee is added to card payments. A travel fee of $10 per trip is charged for services located 20 miles or more away from Copley, Ohio.

Policies

Payments for services can be transferred to other services but are not refundable. For private lessons, a cancellation fee applies: 25% if canceled 2 days beforehand, 50% for 1 day notice, and 75% for 12 hours notice.

For group classes, deposits are non-refundable, and transfers to other services incur a 15% fee. Cancellation fees for group classes are 25% for 2 weeks notice, 50% for 1 week notice, and no refund for 5 days notice. The business states that emergencies will be taken into account.
