For Keeps Pet Training, led by Andrea Loomis, offers professional, science-based dog and cat behavior and training services using humane, positive reinforcement methods endorsed by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists. Andrea combines over two decades of hands-on animal care experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician with specialized certifications from Karen Pryor Academy, Fear Free, Low Stress Handling, and the Aggression in Dogs Master Course. She provides personalized training and behavior modification for dogs of all ages, focusing on building trust, reducing fear and anxiety, and strengthening the human-animal bond. Services include puppy training, manners and obedience, behavior modification for reactivity, fear, and aggression, as well as board and train programs and overnight client boarding in her home. Andrea tailors every plan to the unique needs of the pet and owner, offering a judgment-free, compassionate environment for families struggling with behavioral challenges.

She also supports pet owners in preparing for cooperative veterinary care and improving pet handling and husbandry. Her boarding service is designed exclusively for established clients with behaviorally challenging dogs, offering a low-stress, one-dog-at-a-time environment at a flat fee of $50 per night to reduce financial burden on dedicated pet guardians.

Accomplishments

Andrea Loomis is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with over 20 years of experience in veterinary care and behavior. She holds certifications as a Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP), Elite Fear Free Certified Professional (Veterinary), Silver-Level Low Stress Handling® Certified, and Certified Family Dog Mediator. She has completed Michael Shikashio’s Aggression in Dogs Master Course and is trained in Applied Ethology Canine Behavior.
