Forrest Tails offers private lessons designed for owners needing flexible schedules or extra assistance with training goals and new behavior patterns. The trainer cannot accept clients whose dogs have extreme fear or aggression issues. Additionally, the business provides AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluations, which are testing-only sessions lasting 30-45 minutes per dog, not a class. Group classes are currently unavailable.

About the Trainer
Forrest Tails Dog Training is located in Pagosa Springs, CO, and opened in January 2020. The trainer, Alyssa Forrest, provides gentle guidance and fun for dogs of all ages, focusing on helping families understand their pets and fostering strong bonding relationships.
Alyssa has been a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence since 2005, a role she continues to this day. While the training facility is currently closed for group classes due to family circumstances, select services are still available.
The trainer is a working mother and may have her infant daughter present during private lessons, so she cannot accept clients whose dogs have extreme fear or aggression-based issues. Forrest Tails also offers in-home pet sitting for a limited time and provides AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluations.
Accomplishments
The trainer, Alyssa Forrest, has been a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence since 2005 and continues this work today. She opened Forrest Tails Dog Training in January 2020.
