Testimonials
“I have many years experience in an open admission municipal shelter, specializing in fearful dogs, and I was astonished by Fred’s natural abilities. His dedication, patience, and true understanding of dogs behavior is top notch. He is persistent and will take what ever time is needed to set animals up for success. Whether it be leash training, fear biting, and other behavioral problems…he has is covered. I have personally seen Fred take on the hardest cases and succeed. Individuals like Fred are few and far between. I highly recommend him.”

“I was so frustrated with my 9 mn old mini blue heeler pup, we’re not new to the breed, she’s my 3rd one that my family has had. I reached out to Freddie hoping he could help me with her, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH FREDDIE! I cannot say enough about how he interacted with Lily, with my family, and how he reinforced how I was training her. He has been a godsend to me! I’m not stressed or frustrated about how I’m going about training my pup! He explains everything he’s doing, and is VERY hands on with your fur babies! If you’re looking for someone to help you out or just advice, FREDDIE IS YOUR GUY! Don’t be afraid to reach out to him! He is an amazing person with a ton of experience and knowledge!! Thank you FreddieB for your insight, patience and support!! I for one will be letting everyone know about you!!”

“I recently moved to Spokane, and my Jack Russell has been having a tough time adjusting, while my other dog, who’s always been shy, has struggled with that all his life. Freddie’s expertise as a dog trainer and dog parent coach has already made a noticeable difference within a few hours. Both of my dogs took to him quickly, which speaks volumes about his kind, gentle, yet assertive approach. He truly understands dogs on a deep level. After just one session, I feel more in control, and my Jack Russell, who is usually high-energy, is currently napping—proof of Freddie’s effectiveness! His training is not only top-notch but also affordable. If you’re looking for a compassionate, skilled dog trainer in the Spokane Area, I highly recommend Freddie. Thank you again for your time, and I can’t wait for class!”

About the Trainer
Freddie B.’s Dog Teaching, L.L.C. offers private in-home dog teaching and behavior modification services, along with pet photography. Freddie B. has a lifetime of experience learning and understanding dogs, developing a gift for communication with them, partly due to Asperger’s Syndrome.
He volunteered over 1000 hours at animal shelters, specifically working with fearful and behaviorally challenged dogs, including “fear biters” during the Northern California campfire disaster. His teaching method is based on positive reinforcement, building trust and bonding, and a reward-based “no free lunch” policy where dogs earn what they desire through desirable behaviors.
Accomplishments
Freddie B. has over 50 years of experience understanding dog language and body language, enhanced by his gift of Asperger’s Syndrome. He volunteered over 1000 hours at local animal shelters, specializing in fearful and traumatized dogs, including “fear biters,” and volunteered nearly 100 hours at an emergency animal shelter during the Nov. 2018 Northern California campfire disaster.
He received his dog trainer certification “ABCDT” from Animal Behavior College (ABC) in 2019 after a year of studies and a graded externship. He maintains professional memberships with APDT, IAABC, PPG, and IACP. As of late 2022, he has helped over 50 clients with a 5-star Google rating.
