Freedom Dogs is a nonprofit organization that provides specialty-trained service dogs to wounded military members being treated for PTSD, TBI, and/or other physical impairments. These dogs offer physical and emotional support to help warriors transition to civilian life or return to active duty.
The organization operates two free programs: the Partner Program, which pairs a dog and trainer team with a warrior for rehabilitation support, and the Partner for Life Program, which provides a dog to a warrior for life. Puppies enter the program at approximately 8 weeks of age, and their training lasts for two to two-and-a-half years.
Freedom Dogs exclusively trains dogs they select for their specific programs and does not offer training services for dogs outside of their organization.

About the Trainer
Freedom Dogs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving wounded members of the military who are undergoing treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), or other physical impairments. They provide specialty-trained service dogs to offer both physical and emotional support.
These dogs help wounded warriors transition back to civilian life or return to active duty. The organization works closely with active military personnel and Veterans in Southern California.
Freedom Dogs offers two free programs: the Partner Program, which pairs a dog and trainer team with a warrior to aid rehabilitation and recovery, and the Partner for Life Program, which matches a dog with a warrior for life if needed. They emphasize positive reinforcement in their training methods, advising against positive punishment.
Their puppies are placed with trainers at approximately 8 weeks of age, and training continues for two to two-and-a-half years. Due to the intensive and costly nature of this specialized training, Freedom Dogs only trains dogs they specifically select for their programs and does not train dogs for use outside of their organization.
