Fresh Canine Training Academy

Fresh Canine Training Academy offers a range of programs tailored to different ages and behavioral needs. Day Train Programs are “work day” programs where dogs are trained at the facility during the day and return home in the evening. These include Puppy Explorers (9-15 weeks, 6 sessions, foundational skills, socialization), Teenage Life Skills (4 months-2 years, 12 sessions, basics, impulse control, reliability around distractions), Basic Academy (2+ years, 8 sessions, leash walking, self-control, basic positions), Confidence Building for Fearful Dogs (over 4 months, 10 sessions, relationship building, exposure at dog’s pace), and Reactive Rowdies (over 4 months, 10 sessions, for barking/lunging, neutrality on leash). Off Leash Masters (6 sessions) is for graduates of Teenage Life Skills or Basic Academy, focusing on reliable recall with a remote collar.

Board & Train programs offer intensive lifestyle training where dogs live with a trainer. Options include Puppy Head-Start (2 weeks, 8-16 weeks, foundational skills, crate/house training), On Leash Obedience (3 weeks, 5 months+, basic obedience, loose leash walking), and Adventure Dog Program (4 weeks, off-leash reliability, exposure training).

Group Classes provide foundational training for family pets, covering Puppy Foundations (9-14 weeks), Teenage Fundamentals (4-6 months), Basic Obedience (6 months+), Level 2 Obedience (graduates of prior classes), and CGC Prep. Private Lessons are available for basic obedience and problem behaviors, offered at the facility or in-home. Continuing education day trains and advanced group class drop-ins are available for past clients.

Pricing Summary

Full payment is due for booking Day Train programs. Puppy Explorers costs $800 for 6 sessions, with Puppy Continued Training at $200 weekly. Teenage Life Skills is $1,650 for 12 sessions, and Basic Academy is $1,200 for 8 sessions. Confidence Building for Fearful Dogs is $1,400 for 10 sessions, and Reactive Rowdies is $2,000 for 10 sessions. Off Leash Masters is $1,000 for 6 sessions and includes an E-Collar.

Advanced Group Class Drop-in costs $20 per class. A package of 10 Day Trains for Continuing Education is $700.

Board & Train programs require a $500 deposit. Puppy Head-Start (2 weeks) is $2,800, On Leash Obedience (3 weeks) is $4,000, and the Adventure Dog Program (4 weeks) is $5,000.

Private Lessons are $100 for 1 hour at the facility or $135 for 1 hour in-home (within 15 miles). Group Classes, including Puppy Foundations, Teenage Fundamentals, Basic Obedience, and Level 2 Obedience, are $300 for 6 weeks. CGC Prep is $250 for 5 weeks. A discounted rate of $50 for a 30-minute private lesson is available for group class enrollees.

Policies

Full payment is due for booking Day Train programs. Cancellations for any program must be received in writing via email at least one week prior to the start date for a full refund. Missed days due to scheduling conflicts are forfeited due to strict limits on dogs per trainer. Once a Day Train program has started, there are no refunds, credits, or reschedules for no-shows or cancellations, except in cases of dog sickness or injury, which may require medical records. Day Train programs are non-refundable and non-transferable to other services except at Fresh Canine’s discretion. For Day Trains – Continuing Education, clients must cancel 48 hours in advance to receive credit, and packages expire one year from purchase. Classes will not be held if Williamson County Schools are canceled due to inclement weather; weekend class cancellations are communicated by the instructor. Efforts will be made to make up canceled classes.

Private lessons offer personalized training at the client’s home, their facility, or a specific problem location, allowing owners to be heavily involved in their dog’s training.

Accomplishments

Charlotte Blake is a certified professional dog trainer and a Canine Good Citizen evaluator through the American Kennel Club. She gained extensive experience at Longmont Humane Society under Aimee Sadler, learning scientific principles of training and dog psychology. She also worked at Animal Farm Foundation, a nationally recognized non-profit, and as Public Training Coordinator at Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. Charlotte has taught various classes including puppy kindergarten, agility, therapy, and CGC, working with thousands of dogs. She competes actively with her dogs, having 5 World Champion Dock Diving Dogs and multiple World Finalist titles, and has competed in AKC Obedience, Agility, and Canine Disc. The business states they have a combined 25 years of training dogs.

How to Get Started!

To register for Day Train Programs, clients are asked to fill out a form online, providing their name, email, phone, dog’s name, breed, age, desired program, and start date. They also inquire about prior training with Fresh Canine and where the dog was acquired. For Confidence Building or Reactive Rowdies programs, a meet & greet with a trainer is required prior to booking. For Group Classes, Advanced Group Class Drop-in, Day Trains – Continuing Education, and Private Lessons, clients must create a Gingr profile online or via the app using a specific business code (115587) to register and book. After creating a profile, they can select their pet, booking category, and available dates.
