Testimonials

“Seeing the changes in Henry since we started training has been one of the most rewarding things for me. Two years ago, our neighbors on Camano had a wedding on our compound. They had a party the night before and a brunch the day after. Henry was terrified of everyone and would bark and growl when people approached him. We ended up keeping him inside most of the weekend because it was too much for him. He is such a sweet, loving soul. He is just so tender and it broke my heart to see him afraid of everything and everyone. Last weekend, we had a going away party for a friend in the same location and there were many people I’d never met before. Henry was running up the driveway greeting each new arrival. He was going to them and accepting petting. We did tell people just to scratch under his chin. He’s still funny about hands over his head. But I almost cried! To see him happy and relaxed around new people, in a party setting, was wonderful. And to contrast with a couple of years ago was amazing! Is he still sensitive? Yes. Is he still fearful in new situations? Yes. Will we ever trial? I hope so, but if we don’t, that’s ok. He’s having fun and gaining so much confidence doing Nose work and it’s a great bonding experience for us. I think K9 Nose Work is like magic! ”

“K9 Nose Work has been a godsend for me and my 12 and 1/2 year old cattle dog, Grace. We started classes with Pritamo when Grace was 5 years old, for the sole purpose of continued socialization and giving her something fun and confidence-building to do. I never intended to actually compete in trials. But Pritamo warned us that this wonderful sport was addicting, and she was right! With the great foundation work we received from Pritamo’s classes, we were hooked in no time. From there it was all over but the sniffin’! Who’da thunk that my little red “fraidy dog” would one day earn her Elite 3 title?! And we’re both still hooked, so on to ELT-CH! Good Girl, Grace!”
– Sherry & Grace

“My 6.5 year old toy poodle Maggie has been quite shy since she was a puppy. Participating in K9 Nose Work class has changed her intro a different girl. She is now much more confident, outgoing and friendly and she LOVES her Nose Work!”
– Colleen
