Testimonials

“You have the biggest heart-passion-love for our four legged critters!!!”
-Brandy A.

Farrah spent 4 months of her life living outside of an industrial building living off of the food that the employees would throw her. We were finally able to catch her after 2 hours of chasing her around the inside of the building. Now after several months of training, Farrah is now working on becoming a therapy dog.

Shelbie was one of four Australian Shepherds that were abandoned behind an industrial building on a sub-freezing weekend in 2009. She instantly found a spot in my heart. She is the dog that I use for all my group classes as my demonstration dog.

About the Trainer

Corrie Walters, a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP), offers dog training services in Arlington, Texas, and surrounding areas. She provides group classes for puppies and adult dogs, private one-on-one sessions, and day training programs held at Creature Comfort Animal Clinic. Her approach is rooted in positive reinforcement, with a focus on teaching owners how to effectively communicate with and train their dogs. Corrie has over 20 years of experience working in veterinary medicine and has personally rehabilitated and rehomed more than 100 dogs and 20 cats. She uses her own dogs as demonstration animals in group classes and emphasizes building strong owner-dog relationships through observation, clicker training, and behavior problem solving.

Her day training program is ideal for busy owners who want their dogs to learn foundation skills without daily home training. Dogs attend the clinic two days per week for structured sessions and socialization, followed by a one-hour owner session to transition skills into daily life. Group classes cover basic obedience, recall, self-control, and clicker mechanics, while private sessions address specific issues like fearfulness, aggression, or reactivity.

Corrie also shares educational resources including clicker training videos, the book “Puppy Start Right,” and links to PetPlace.com for pet health information. She actively supports animal rescue and features success stories of rehabilitated dogs on her website, including a former stray now training to be a therapy dog.
