The club offers Pre-School Puppy Kindergarten and AKC/STAR classes for AKC or PAL registered German Shepherd puppies aged 10 weeks to 6 months. These classes focus on proper puppy proofing, basic household commands, housebreaking, crating, addressing biting/mouthing, gaining puppy attention and focus, praise and correction, heeling, and teaching commands like sit, down, and come. Puppies also engage in play, modified agility, and nose work for socialization. Additionally, the club provides training in Obedience, Conformation, Rally, Agility, and Tracking.

Pricing Summary
Annual membership dues are $78 for a single membership and $98 for a family membership, payable annually, with an initiation fee of $10 per person. Training fees are $75 for the first six months, and thereafter $150 annually per handler, with a $50 fee for a second handler in the family. Free German Shepherd Puppy Classes are offered.
Policies
Puppies attending classes must be healthy and current on their inoculations as recommended by a veterinarian, and shot records will be requested before class. Information regarding weather cancellations is available via a dedicated link on their website.

The German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin was founded on July 10, 1947, by twenty-two German Shepherd fanciers. It became a regional club of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America and hosted the first combined National Specialty Show and National Specialty Obedience Trial. The club currently has over 200 members and operates under the motto: “Shepherds—Well Bred, Well Trained”.
