Geronimo Kennels is a professional dog training service and breeding program established and run by Kelly Lannin. They focus on setting clients up for success by teaching and proofing skills in a practical, household setting, believing it’s essential to train a house pet within a home environment.

The training programs are flexible and adjustable, emphasizing client involvement to fit individual needs, schedules, and handling abilities. They offer personalized, goal-oriented training plans tailored for various purposes, including therapy dogs, hunting companions, canine athletes, or simply snuggle buddies, and also provide behavior modification programs for serious issues.

A unique advantage is the continued support from Kelly Lannin, who is noted as having trained and titled more Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers from different lines than almost anyone else in the breed’s history. For puppy clients from their breeding program, boarding and private lesson grooming services are available without the usual required introductory basic training course.

Their breeding program focuses on early socialization, superior genetics with health-tested and titled parents (8 generations back), and a health guarantee for hips, elbows, eyes, and IVDD type 1. Puppies undergo extensive temperament evaluations to match them with suitable families based on plans and training goals.

Beyond basic training, Geronimo Kennels offers advanced and off-leash obedience, boarding, public access training, conditioning/treadmill training, daycare, grooming, hunt training, competition obedience, and conformation training. They also facilitate adoptions for available dogs, often from rescue organizations, after providing them with training and rehabilitation.

Accomplishments

Kelly Lannin, the founder and head trainer, is a certified trainer with 20 years of full-time experience and holds a BA in Behavioral Sciences. She is an AKC Breeder of Merit and has been breeding champion Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers for 15 years, producing dozens of champions and titled dogs. Kelly has titled dozens of dogs in competition obedience, rally obedience, conformation, and field training. She is recognized for having trained and titled more Tollers from different lines than almost anyone else in the history of the breed.
