Testimonials
“They are very nice women, they explained everything, showed me what to do and why. Abbey, my dog, loved them and felt completely comfortable with them.”
– Becka
“They came to my home with everything needed for the session, even these cute bandanas for the boys! The ladies were so patient and kind, especially with my oldest dog Zeus and are just stuffed full of knowledge. They explained things in a very easy to understand way and were very comfortable to work with. My main goal when finding a trainer was to make sure I could be involved in the process and that they would be kind to my dogs. They hit both of those points and much more. I would highly recommend golden boy dog training to anyone who’s looking for some extra guidance to help their furry friends!”
– Hailee
“My dog is naughty and high strung at times, so I was pleasantly surprised when they had him paying attention and following their rules. They are calm and knowledgeable and have a way with challenging fur babies.”
– Kaji
About the Trainer
Golden Boy Dog Training is a positive reinforcement-based dog training business founded by co-owners Suz and Kayla in 2022. They offer personalized, one-on-one private training sessions and parent-free group Play & Train sessions to help dogs and their owners build confidence, trust, and strong bonds. Their approach is kind, science-based, and focused on communication rather than correction, making it ideal for dogs with fear, reactivity, or behavioral challenges. They also provide pet care services including walks and drop-ins for clients who need reliable care when away from home. Suz brings a calm, patient style with hands-on experience raising four dogs, while Kayla specializes in canine behavior and communication, ensuring each training plan is tailored to the dog’s unique personality and needs.
They serve dog owners in Snohomish County, Washington, with a focus on real-life behavior solutions such as leash pulling, reactivity, resource guarding, recall, and separation anxiety. All training uses reward-based methods with no force, fear, or punishment. Clients receive custom training summaries after each session to track progress and continue practice at home.
How to Get Started!
Prospective clients complete a detailed online inquiry form covering the dog’s personality, medical history, routines, and training goals. After submission, they download, sign, and upload the waiver and vaccination records. Once completed, they are contacted to schedule a consultation.
