Golden State K-9 Training Academy, also known as Casa Medina K9, is a dog training business founded by Peter Medina, who has over 20 years of experience breeding and training German Shepherd Dogs. They focus on IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshunde Prüfungsordnung) sport dog training, including trials, regionals, nationals, events, seminars, and workshops.

René van Pinxteren, a frequent workshop and trial helper, has 35 years of experience as a certified club, trial, and all-round helper, competing at the highest level. He is a trainer and instructor for WUSV helpers, achieved best helper with 99 points, and has qualified his dog Kane for the WUSV Universal in Switzerland. They have titled dogs that previously could not be titled and trained dogs that allegedly could not be trained into exemplary canine citizens.
